General Hospital (GH) spoilers for summer storylines indicate Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) goes off in new directions that are actually old habits that seem to die hard. As of now, Jason is still struggling with flashbacks of Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). Jake Webber (Hudson West) is also struggling with Helena’s control and this must be resolved before Jason can move forward.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that things will be sorted in June and Costa (Eddie Davenport), Helena’s henchman, is owed a sound beating by Jason. When Jason sees Costa in Port Charles that will trigger a lot of rage over all the beatings he took from Costa on Cassadine Island. With Costa beaten down and out of the way, Helena’s influence will finally be purged from Jason’s life.
As Summer kicks off, Jason and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) get together and share a bottle of good Scotch and talk about all the drama in their lives. Sonny is fresh off the big burn incident with Ava Jerome (Maura West) when she almost died because she started a fire while raging at him and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) over her role in Morgan’s death.
Jason had been insistent that he didn’t want to be involved with Sonny’s world ever again, but it’s a slippery slope. Jason killed men to save Sonny when Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi) shot him and held TJ Ashford (Tequan Richmond) hostage. Jason is on auto pilot to kill to protect people and that’s something that won’t ever change, but Jason has fought the urge to be a hired gun again.
But when Jason and Sonny talk and do some more bonding, General Hospital spoilers tease that Jason finds himself slipping back into Sonny’s world. Sonny is all alone since he lost both Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) and Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore). He’s still got Max Giambetti (Derk Cheetwood) but that’s a far cry from the organization Sonny once managed.
With Jason finally free of all the Jake and Helena drama, he needs a purpose in his life and that’s when he falls back in with the mob. At first, Jason will just dip his toe in. He won’t go Stone Cold mob enforcer, but he might help Sonny manage some of his legitimate interests like the coffee warehouse. But with the mob, when you’re in a little, you’re in a lot.
There is more mob drama reported to be coming to Port Charles soon. With Olivia “Liv” Jerome (Tonja Walker) in the nuthouse, Julian Jerome (William deVry) facing trial, and Ava out of commission, there’s a power void in Port Charles and unless Sonny scoops up the other mobsters, it’s inevitable that someone new will roll into town to take over the Jerome operation.
How long will it be before Jason has a gun in his hand and he’s defending Sonny’s territory? GH spoilers promise Jason will be neck deep in the mob again before too long.
