General Hospital (GH) spoilers say Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) won’t be in jail too long and he’ll have Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) to thank for saving him from years in prison for a felony. We saw that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) reluctantly arrested Jax after Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) recorded Jax’s confession and forced Dante’s hand.
However, the problem is, there is no evidence that Dante knows of outside of Jax’s confession. It seems unlikely a confession would be enough to convict him in court unless the cops have Nelle’s cooperation. General Hospital spoilers say the problem is, Nelle might not play along. Sure, Nelle could take a vengeful attitude against Jax, but that doesn’t seem likely. Nelle has had enough of revenge.
Nelle is sickened by her actions since she came to Port Charles and is disgusted that she fell for her dad Frank Benson’s lies about Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). There is no way that Nelle will do anything to make Carly’s life harder. Even though, for now, Nelle is in the dark about Jax and Carly hooking up again, she knows Carly cares for Jax as Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) father.
Dante took Jax down to the PCPD and Carly will make sure he’s got a good lawyer but then Dante needs to question Nelle since she’s the victim of his crime. General Hospital buzz is that Dante shouldn’t expect Nelle to cooperate with the PCPD because she knows doing so will put Jax at jeopardy of going to jail and would upset Carly more. Nelle told Carly she would stay in Port Charles to make amends.
This is the first thing Nelle can do to make things up to Carly. Since Nelle was the victim of the crime, if she doesn’t press charges, the DA may find it tough to make a case, particularly since Jax isn’t even a Port Charles resident or US citizen. But once Sonny finds out Nelle didn’t play along, he will step up his game to make Jax pay even though Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) warned him to stop.
Sonny might not be able to see Jax go to prison for buying Nelle’s kidney but he won’t give up. The next step is getting Jax far away from Carly to punish both of them. General Hospital spoilers reveal that on Wednesday, Jax faces deportation for his crime even if he can’t be convicted in Port Charles because of Nelle. If Jax can’t stay in Port Charles, he wants Carly and Josslyn to run away with him.
Carly is tempted when Jax makes a compelling argument about how much better life would be far away from Sonny and his bad influence on her life. Carly will have to think long and hard about it. With an immigration agent in town ready to haul Jax away, it seems like Sonny’s revenge plan might work because it will get Jax out of Carly’s life one way or the other.
