General Hospital (GH) spoilers have fans asking who is the mystery man in Nelle Hayes’ (Chloe Lanier) life? When you look at all of the clues, one guy sticks out in particular. Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) may be back for the ultimate revenge against Carly.
Nelle told Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) about the guy she’s seeing and clarified that the guy she’s involved with is not married. That fits Ric. Since Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford) kicked Ric to the curb, he’s been single.
Nelle also described the man in her life as older than her. When you think about men of that age with a grudge against Carly, Ric fits the bill once again. Nelle also said it’s weird to call him her boyfriend, lover, or partner.
This means Nelle might not be sleeping with him. Ric has low standards when it comes to sex – we all saw him shag Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills). Ric would have no problem sleeping with Carly’s adoptive-sister, but sex may not be involved.
Nelle says he’s the kind of guy who doesn’t want to be tied down. That could also be Ric. He’s got a long-standing obsession with Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Carly. Ric might want to stay available in case he has a chance to get back with Liz.
Remember when Carly publicly humiliated Ric when he proposed to Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) at the Nurse’s Ball in 2015? He hates Carly for that and still wants Liz. GH spoilers mention a new threat that tries to break up Liz and Franco (Roger Howarth).
Ric would definitely try to split them since he hates Franco over the Nina debacle. Nelle also told Michael that she and her man have “an arrangement.” She said it’s all she wants right now so Michael dropped it and agreed to stay in the friend zone.
Ric is a perfect partner for Nelle in a revenge scheme against Carly. Nelle wants to destroy Carly and we just found out the two are secret adoptive-sisters. Carly’s adoptive father Frank Benson is Nelle’s biological father. He’s the one who sold Nelle’s kidney.
Nelle and Carly have a messy twisty sister past that Carly doesn’t know yet and Nelle wants to punish her for the father and the kidney she lost. Ric has a long list of reasons to punish Carly. He hates her yet is obsessed with her.
Ric would love to see Carly and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) split for good since he hates how she always makes him look bad to his brother. It also makes sense for Ric to be the mastermind behind Nelle drugging Sonny.
Remember back when Carly had Club 101 and wound up drugged? Ric undressed her and put her in his bed let her think they slept together. That’s exactly what Nelle did to Sonny! Carly has humiliated Ric over and over and he wants her to pay.
Nelle and Ric are the perfect partners for this anti-Carly revenge scheme. Ric knows all of Carly’s dirty laundry and could have told Nelle her secrets and about Bobbie Spencer’s (Jacklyn Zeman) past as a hooker. Ric is devious and has no boundaries.
Rick Hearst dropped into GH for a single episode back in July, so he could come back for one or two episodes when it comes out that Ric is working with Nelle and the revenge plan is exposed. Until then, he can stay in the shadows.
GH spoilers hint that Sonny’s night with Nelle is revealed soon and that splits him and Carly. But then the big secrets about Nelle come out and could see Carly and Sonny put on a united front to deal with this threat but how will it all play out?
