General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Tuesday, May 23 reveal that it’s red carpet time at the 2017 Nurses Ball. Mario Lopez is there along side Nina Clay Cassadine (Michelle Stafford) but Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) proves to be a bit of a distraction because he doesn’t want Nina to leave him over this Anna/Alex Devane (Finola Hughes) debacle.
Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) hit the red carpet and GH costumers have poor Lulu looking like a human cupcake. Emme Rylan is just a couple of weeks away from her due date so they’re hiding a giant baby bump under that pink confection. Lulu is glowing and looks happy with Dante by her side, but Lulu’s daughter will soon be in danger.
Felix DuBois (Marc Antony Samuel) and Epiphany Jones (Sonya Eddy) walk the red carpet. Looks like there is no Magic Milo performance this year and that means Epiphany has to bring a coworker as her date. Backstage at the Nurses Ball, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is trying to push aside her anger at Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Martina Morales (Daya Vaidya).
Carly hangs out with Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and they plan to have the best Nurses Ball ever. Bobbie tells a white lie, but to whom and about what? Valentin pulls Nina aside and begs her to give him another chance to make things right. His plea falls on deaf ears so Valentin goes to Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) to broker a deal.
Valentin offers to increase his donation to more than a million bucks if Lucy helps him create a grand gesture to impress his wayward wife. We all know Lucy will take the cash, so this should be intersting to watch. Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) corners Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and asks what’s up with her and Valentin. Anna has to explain the whole evil twin thing again to her friends.
Ava Jerome (Maura West) is a master of pushing her luck and insists the blackmail she paid to Lucy be recognized in a giant check in honor of Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) at the ball. Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) begs Ava not to tempt fate but of course, Ava won’t listen. It all blows up at the ball and the truth comes out about Ava messing with Morgan’s meds.
While Sonny gets ready for the ball, he and Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) chat. Michael asks why Sonny wanted to see Morgan’s journals. Sonny is still trying to sort out the reasons behind Morgan’s breakdown. Will Michael hit the ball or go see Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) at the hospital? Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) has a weird feeling about tonight.
Jason is dapper in a tux and Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) stuns at his side in yellow but Jason can’t get his mind of his nightmare about Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). Jason can’t shake the feeling and he’s right to be alarmed – danger is coming. Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) rescues Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) on the red carpet and then his evening takes a brighter turn.
