General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Steve Burton’s (ex-Jason) return will lead to major conflict. GH watchers are already divided on who they think should be the real Jason Morgan. Some fans are 100-percent “Team Burton.” Others prefer Billy Miller’s portrayal or even support both versions on some level.
However, viewers aren’t the only ones who’ll be choosing sides over the next few months. General Hospital spoilers say Jason’s loved ones will have to make difficult decisions as well. Once Burton’s character shows up with Jason’s old face, it’s going to cause some chaos.
It appears Franco (Roger Howarth) will be instrumental in how this mystery unravels. His memories and photos could help as everyone tries to figure this mess out. Nevertheless, there’ll be some uncertainty at first. No one will know what to believe.
As this story develops, characters will inevitably form opinions about who’s the real deal. Those opinions will vary depending on each person’s relationship with current Jason. There’s bound to be some hostility as people decide which team they’re on.
Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) have been mulling over the changes they’ve seen in their pal. They suggested that Jason just isn’t the same guy now. Does that mean they’ll think Burton’s version is legit? Carly might lean in that direction, but things could be more complicated for Sonny. Current Jason’s loyalty has definitely been appreciated.
Of course, Sam (Kelly Monaco) has also been talking about changes lately. Her personal transformation has been a big factor. Sam feels losing Jason sparked some serious shifts. She’s been yearning for safety and stability ever since. Sam loves the life she’s built with current Jason and that’s why she’s so desperate to protect it.
With that in mind, Sam will likely fight against the old Jason’s resurgence. She’s moved on and may now want to take that step backward. Still, there’ll come a time when Sam will have to face reality and seek the whole truth. Even if her choice remains the same, Sam needs to hear all the facts.
Monica (Leslie Charleson) will also have to lock in her Jason vote. That’s going to be a tough call as more details come to light. Meanwhile, Liz’s (Rebecca Herbst) history with Jason will come back into play. Will she believe old Jason is the authentic one?
Franco will have his own issues since he was apparently raised with one of the brothers for a short time. Poor Jake (Hudson West) will be bewildered, too.
