General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of July 10 reveal the Quartermaine wedding will be in full swing on Monday and there are some big surprises coming including teasers that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Brook Lynn Ashton could return for the big event to shock General Hospital fans. Showrunners seem to be pulling out all the stops to get ratings up, so this could be a big deal.
Although Tracy just left for retirement and Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) mentioned that she’s in Amsterdam – which is where Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) is also – it’s doubtful that Tracy Q will make a live and in-person appearance at her son’s wedding. However, Nathan Varni hinted that Tracy might show up via a video message to her son on his special day.
It would have been super easy for General Hospital to film Jane Elliott for a video bonus scene before she left since the wedding was scripted before her departure. Alternately, Nathan teased Tracy might leave a letter for Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) – don’t forget he just changed his last name to honor his grandfather Edward Quartermaine.
Even if it’s a letter, it might be Tracy doing the voice over or via video like happened when Julian Jerome (William deVry) left that long letter to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) that showrunners had him reading out loud to her. Whatever it is, there is no doubt that Tracy will play a role in Ned and Olivia Falconeri’s (Lisa LoCicero) wedding because it wouldn’t be right if she didn’t.
But the other General Hospital teaser is the possible return of Brook Lynn Ashton for her dad’s special day. It might not be Adrianne Leon, the last portrayer, that returns, but could be a short term recast. There have been General Hospital reports swirling for a while that a character that has not been seen in years would return for a short arc. Given Ned’s wedding the week after next, it might be Brook Lynn.
Other General Hospital spoilers and shockers for the Q wedding promise trouble. Olivia insisted Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) be invited since he’s Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) dad which is pretty awkward since he murdered Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) son AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan). And we all know that Sonny’s plus one will be Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
That’s a big deal because Michael Quartermaine’s (Chad Duell) plus one is Nelle Hayes Benson (Chloe Lanier) and Carly will explode once she finds out Michael and Nelle are sleeping together. There may be fireworks at the wedding even though it’ll be the week after the fourth of July. Carly might start a big scene with Nelle or Sonny might irritate Monica.
Plus, new spoilers promise Olivia’s bachelorette party goes off the rails and she winds up behind bars. There’s a big question of whether Olivia will make it to her wedding on time since she’s in jail as the clock runs down.
