General Hospital (GH) spoilers are trying to figure out what’s with these two Port Charles French language speakers? Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) speaks French but we have no idea of why. Was he brought up speaking the language or is it just something he learned later in life? Is he from Montreal or France; it was never explained?
And, what about the sneaky devil, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), he seems pretty fluent in the language too. Both men are totally comfortable with the French language, that’s a little too much of a coincidence for GH fans.
What we have learned so far about Nathan is that he came to Port Charles as a cop to investigate Silas Clay’s (Michael Easton) involvement in his sister, Nina Clay’s (Michelle Stafford) attempted murder. But where did Nathan come from, what did he leave behind, no mention of anything. Along the way poor Nathan finds out that his mother is really Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati).
Liesl was so thoughtful to give him up to her sister Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) so little Nathan can have a better life. Liesl also told Nathan that his father was Victor Cassadine (Thaao Penghlis) who supposedly dies in the famous clinic fire. Oh Liesl, try telling the truth you Svengali. You were gallivanting around trying to hook up with the creep Faison.
Unfortunately, Nathan also discovers he is related to the miserable conniving half-sister Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Neither His mother nor Auntie Madeline sound very French. Liesl sounds Germanic, can’t imagine her with a French accent, so what’s up?
And Valentin is the same story, allegedly the disowned son of the notorious Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos), lived in England and then disappears underground to carry out some dastardly deeds. Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) calls him the most treacherous of the Cassadines with him vowing to destroy the rest of his family along with the Spencers.
After shooting Nicholas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) on the family island he then shows up out of the blue in PC. No mention of him living in France or even being anywhere near the country.
So, how is this happening? This french thing is too much of a coincidence for GH writers to not have an important motive behind it. General Hospital spoilers say somehting has to be going on here. So, why do Nathan and Valentin both speak French?
Oh the thought, that adorable Nathan and evil Valentin could be blood relatives? Oh, that’s hitting Nathan below the belt. Could they possibly be brothers and not even know it? After all, has Liesl said who Nathan’s father REALLY is, does she even know?
