Gordon Ramsay Won't Share $160 Million Fortune With His Kids: No Spoiled Children

Gordon Ramsay might be worth $160 million dollars, but he won’t be sharing his fortune with his children and spoiling them. According to the reality television star and celebrity chef, they won’t even see a dime of it. Gordon recently admitted that his children are not getting a cent of his fortune and that’s because he wants them to learn the value of hard work and money.

Gordon, who is worth an estimated $160 million, said that while he’s willing to help his children get on their feet, he won’t be giving them blank checks or help them pay their bills for that matter. Instead, he wants his children, Megan, 18, twins Holly and Jack, 17, and Matilda, to learn how to earn their own living.

In a new interview with The Telegraph, the ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ star said that he’s all about tough love when it comes to parenting his four kids. He said, “It’s definitely not going to them, and that’s not in a mean way; it’s to not spoil them. The only thing I’ve agreed with [my wife] Tana is they get a 25 percent deposit on a flat, but not the whole flat.”

What’s more, he also admitted that he makes his children fly economy while he and his wife Tana fly first class whenever they are traveling. That’s because he believes his children need to put a little work in before flying the friendly skies in luxury. In other words, he’s not willing to give his children anything for free.

If that weren’t enough, Gordon Ramsay also said that he keeps his kids on a tight budget as well. Unlike other celebrity parents who give their children just about everything they need, Gordon says that he makes his kids pay for their own cell phones and bus fare. He also makes them save money to pay for their own pricey designer jeans and sneakers.

Of course, Gordon does all of this for a reason. Sure, his celebrity status allows him to enjoy VIP status wherever he goes, but at the same time he says he wants his kid to stay grounded. Seeing how many celebrity kids grow up spoiled and entitled, he wants his kids to be grateful for what they have. Instead, he wants his kids to grow up to be as hard working as he is now.
