Kate Middleton and Prince William are reportedly spoiled and pampered beyond belief. In the words of Phoebe Buffay from Friends, this is BRAND NEW INFORMATION.
In all seriousness, we’ve been hearing these same complaints about Prince William and Kate Middleton for the better part of… well, since they’ve been married, really. Prior to their marriage, Prince William’s resistance to take part in his royal duties could be attributed to his being shy or his unwillingness to stay in the spotlight. However, as soon as he got married and began shirking his royal duties on the regular, it no longer became about his ‘shyness’, but about his laziness.
And Kate Middleton? Ha! If anything, she made William lazier than ever. The two of them love going on vacation, as we know, and they’ll do it despite continued backlash from the media and the public. And you know why? It’s because they are spoiled, plain and simple. They are royals, and to them, that means a blanket pardon on anything they do, no matter what it is.
And now, according to a new expose from the Daily Beast, people close to the royals are starting to complain about their lack of involvement in anything work-related. Sources explain, “Despite extensive counsel to the contrary, it seems William and Kate are not yet ready to give up the leisured life they have for some years been enjoying with their ‘Turnip Toff’ landowning friends in the backwaters of Norfolk, a hundred miles from the capital and any serious, sustained press scrutiny.”
Their ‘argument’ for staying away from any work is reportedly because they’re busy trying to raise their family away from the spotlight, so the kids will end up ‘normal’. Oh, normal like Prince William, you mean? Also, they have a staff of approximately nine million people, and you’re telling me they can’t put in a few days of charity per week? Or even per month? If they can take time away from their kids and go on vacation every other month, then they can sure as heck do some charity at the same time.
