Kate Middleton, Prince William Plan Paris Rugby Match Attendance: Lazy Royals All Play And No Work?

Kate Middleton and Prince William are preparing for their much-anticipated trip to Paris on March 17th. The royal couple will be spending two days in the French capital and according to their schedule, they will be meeting with French leaders and cheering on Wales’ Six Nations 2017 finale against host nation France.

Many fans are surprised that Prince William and Kate Middleton won’t be visiting the site where Princess Diana tragically died in a car crash back in 1997. After all, this year marks the twentieth anniversary of her death. But according to insiders, the focus of their trip to Paris is shaking hands with leaders and diplomats and not remembrance. Plus, it looks like William and Kate will be leaving their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, at home for this trip.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s visit to Paris coincides with Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit negotiations in Brussels. They are scheduled to meet with people that were impacted during the Paris terror attack from November 2015 and the terror attack that happened in Nice last summer. They will also be the guests of honor at the British Embassy in Paris and will participate in an event that will highlight France and Britain’s cultural ties.

If that weren’t enough, Prince William and Kate Middleton are also expected to attend a rugby match during their jam-packed schedule in Paris. Reports say that they will be watching the France versus Wales six nations rugby match in the French capital. Of course, this isn’t the first time the Duke and Duchess have attended a sporting event as part of their royal duties. Back in 2015 both William and Kate were a rollercoaster of emotions during the Rugby World Cup in London. They were photographed with both clenched fists during an important Wales versus Australia match. Surely, all eyes will once again be on the Duke and Duchess while they cheer on Wales in Paris next week, too.

Plus, Queen Elizabeth is making it no secret that she wants Prince William and Kate Middleton to act as unofficial ambassadors for Brexit. That’s why she’s sending them to several different European countries in hopes that William and Kate will help soften diplomacy between Britain and the other European Union nations.
