Kate Middleton has ruled out a third pregnancy, simply because she and Prince William have no time for another baby. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to take on more royal duties from Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, meaning they’ll have less time to sit at home and take care of their family.
According to Sunday Express, one source close to the situation said, “I would be very surprised if they have a third child. They have got a boy and a girl – there is a sense that their family is now complete and they are moving onto the next chapter in their lives.”
That next chapter of course involves more royal work and obligations. Queen Elizabeth has supposedly put pressure on her grandson Prince William and his wife to start acting more like full-time royals who take their duties and responsibilities seriously. If Kate Middleton were to get pregnant again, that would only give her an excuse to stay behind closed doors and do as little as possible. She did suffer from extreme morning sickness during her first two pregnancies and there’s a good chance that it would happen a third time. And that would force Kate Middleton out of the public spotlight yet again.
Then again, anything can happen in the coming weeks. It usually takes only a couple of months for many royal couples to announce their pregnancy after getting married. But for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, it took them nearly a year and a half. A lot of media outlets were on Kate Middleton baby bump watch for months before they shared their pregnancy news with the public. Sure, Kate might want a third child. After all, she grew up with two siblings of her own. But it looks like that won’t be happening anytime soon.
With Queen Elizabeth slowing down and Prince Philip retiring, there’s just too much going on at Buckingham Palace for Kate Middleton to get pregnant right now. Queen Elizabeth has made it no secret that she is expecting both Prince William and Kate Middleton to do more and vacation less, especially since the future of the monarchy is in their hands.
Of course, Kate Middleton has not made any comments about her future pregnancy plans. Then again, the Duchess has never publicly spoken about her personal life with Prince William behind closed doors.
