LeAnn Rimes has never been one to hold back on social media, exemplified again by the reveal of her new and much shorter haircut on Instagram, as well as a personal message hinting at major life changes.
LeAnn Rimes, now 34 years old, posted an image of herself to Instagram on Friday, which revealed her with a new lighter, shorter haircut. The message posted with the picture read, “A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life – Coco Chanel.” She then added in a personal message, “Right on Coco! Loving the newness @mateosifuentes thank you! It was time to feel a bit lighter on the outside to match what I feel on the inside. #summertime #newhair #shorthairdontcare #lighter.”
LeAnn Rimes’ hair stylist, Mateo Sifuentes, also posted a photo of LeAnn with her new hair to his own Instagram account, writing, “Guys, she has never been this short since I’ve known her. Proud of her for just going for it! Comfort zone? Nah, we’re good.”
Both LeAnn Rimes and her hair stylist seem to be hinting at some major changes with their cryptic personal messages, especially considering Mateo’s comment about her ‘comfort zone’ and LeAnn’s ‘feel lighter on the outside to match what I feel on the inside.’
Even for non-celebrities, major hair changes are usually reflective of major life changes, whether that’s a purposeful decision or it’s made on a subconscious level. In regards to LeAnn, whatever this change seems to be, it’s definitely being viewed as a positive – and as such, is it too outside of the box for us to suggest that it has something to do with the never-ending drama between her, her husband Eddie Cibrian, and Eddie Cibrian’s ex-wife, Brandi Glanville?
The drama between LeAnn Rimes and Brandi Glanville has been well documented over the years, culminating in many back-and-forth battles and feuds taking place largely on social media. And given that both LeAnn and Brandi likely keep detailed accounts of each other’s social media posts, this could very well be taken as a message to Brandi herself – perhaps suggesting that the two have reached some sort of understanding, and it’s finally led to a truce between them?
Also, it’s a tried and true cliche that newly single women make drastic changes to their appearance, especially hair makeovers. Could LeAnn be trying to hint that she is not just dumping her long hair, but maybe her husband Eddie Cibrian too?
