A lot has changed this year. The older kids were off at college and it was now the younger generation’s turn to take leadership however, Liam was struggling to just get out of bed. His girlfriend Hayden had moved away to protect her sister and so he was down in the dumps. But Liam’s behavior had almost cost him the captainship. The coach was looking for a new captain for lacrosse and Liam couldn’t afford for it to be anyone else. So he got his act together and he tried to prove to coach that he deserved to be captain.

However, Liam had had an accident on the field. He had lost his temper and would have gone into wolf mode if Scott hadn’t been there. Scott had volunteered as the assistant coach and so he too had a lot riding on Liam doing well because Liam was his protégé. So Scott made sure to blow the whistle when he saw that Liam needed a minute and he would have given him more if there hadn’t been another incident. That time a random wolf had walked out onto the field and he threateningly approached everyone before Scott could calm him down.

So Scott had wanted to know why the wolf came out into the open like that and he as well as Liam had followed the wolf back into the woods. Yet, Scott and Liam had come across a strange scene because they found a dead wolf in the woods and the wolf had started to rot right in front of their eyes and assumed it was paranormal. Not their sort of paranormal, but something more in line with Malia and so they tried getting Malia to get help except she didn’t want to. She was moving on with her life as well and all she wanted to focus on was her trip overseas.

Malia was going to France and so she was more focused on getting to see French men than she was on there being a problem in Beacon Hills. But Malia also told Lydia that if there was a problem that Liam and his friends could handle it and Scott was sort of counting on that too. Scott was finally going away and he believed in Liam enough that he assumed Liam would be able to handle whatever came next. So Liam found himself on his own with this one and it turned out to be a bigger deal than anyone thought.

There was a creature at the psychiatric hospital that’s been there since 1912 and it broke out recently however, the first place it went was to the school. The creature had gone there right as hundreds of rats started to crawl everywhere. Though as neither Liam nor Mason knew what caused the rat infestation, they tried to investigate it and found out a few things. They learned that all the books on the occult and paranormal in their school library had been checked out. So they simply tried to follow the evidence of where the rats were and found a dead Rat King.

A Rat King was when a large number rats got their tails entangled and moved if not acted like one giant rat. However, the Rat King didn’t act like that this time. This time they had all turned on each other and eaten each other alive. So things got weirder and Malia was forced to help. She went with the boys down into the tunnels and she find out what the big deal was. Malia said that there hadn’t been anything off about the rat or what they did and so she kindly asked the guys not to bother her because she was waiting for her flight to get in.

But the boys still needed help. They couldn’t find any books on the situation and they still believed something was off with that Rat King. So they tried going to another source. They went to Scott’s mom and they asked her if she could check out the dead rat they had brought with them yet she told them because she didn’t have time for that. She was checking on the many patients that had come in with one or something else wrong lately and she had also been forced to rely on the deputies there.

The patients for some reason or another had gotten pretty confrontational with each other and something seemed to be riling them up. Yet, the creature had managed to attract Parrish’s attention and it had created a diversion in order to get away. So the creature did its best to protect itself and it came out for one reason. It had gotten a whiff of Liam at the hospital and had started to hunt him because of whatever it was it thought Liam was though the truth was sorted eventually when it tracked Liam down to the school and ran into Parrish.

Parrish had been tracking it as much as it had been tracking Liam and therefore it was revealed that the creature was in fact another Hellhound. The Hellhound had been kept frozen at the hospital to dilute its natural flames and someone had the mistake of lowering the temperature enough for him to escape. Though the Hellhound didn’t want to kill Parrish and had simply knocked Parrish unconscious so that it could get to Liam. So Liam told Mason to run and he then took on the Hellhound. And he was doing pretty good.

Liam was able to hold his own. But the other Hellhound had realized in time that Liam wasn’t the one he was tracking. He was tracking a creature that had escaped with the others once they freed everyone from the Riders. So the Hellhound gave up on trying to kill Liam and had instead warned him. He said that something got out and that it had to be returned before it ended everything however Lydia had also gotten a vision confirming what the Hellhound said and so she stopped her friends from leaving.

Lydia told Scott and Malia that they couldn’t afford to leave and that they had to stay in town to clean up what they did. However, they didn’t know what the creature was and so they were going to go ask the Hellhound at the school when they heard shots. An Argent or someone working for them had managed to kill the Hellhound with a special made bullet and so they knew that there was more than one threat out there yet they couldn’t call Stiles. Stiles was starting out at Quantico and if anything, he had something to tell them.

Derek Hale is apparently a wanted man and the FBI believe he was a mass murderer!

THE END!
