The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease two B&B storyline developments that are downright frightening. One involves Eric (John McCook) and the other, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown).
So, Eric has a reputation for being incredibly tolerate and forgiving. These personality points have sometimes led to him being taken advantage of and being entangled with the wrong supposed soul mate, in the opinions of many of his loved ones.
Recently, Eric was incensed that Quinn (Rena Sofer) had physically flirted with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). They kissed more than once, but didn’t go beyond the lip-locks. The head of the Forrester clan responded by moving to a hotel, where Sheila conveniently happened to be staying in a room aside of him.
Eric gained perspective, forgave Quinn and later, Ridge as well. However, he’s allowed Mateo (Francisco San Martin), initially promoted to manage the mansion grounds, to become his wife’s masseur. A foolhardy choice that unknowingly gave Sheila power.
Quinn is now at odds with her reclaimed husband because Eric hadn’t told her Wyatt (Darin Brooks) was seeing Katie (Heather Tom). As the fall unfolds, she and Mateo will cross boundary lines, but it won’t be on Quinn’s own volition.
Sheila offered Mateo an initial bribe, with the promise of an eventual $200,000 payday, if he can break Queric (a goofy, but memorable nickname). Sheila must also become Mrs. Forrester again in order for Mateo to gain that promised sum.
As B&B fans, along with Y&R fans know, Sheila engages in creative morality in order to realize her goals. That’s why use of chemicals will soon be on the table. Yes, this first frightening B&B development implies exactly what readers think it does.
Mateo is attracted to Quinn. He’s already had visions of their romantic bond. As soon as Sheila learned that Mateo needed money to help his ailing mother she gained deep leverage. His naivete allows for easier manipulation, as compared to Charlie (Dick Christie), or Pam (Alley Mills).
When Quinn doesn’t reciprocate Mateo’s feelings, Sheila will go low. She’ll tell Mateo to drug Eric’s wife. While under that influence, the masseur and his client will consummate a moral crime.
Quinn will attempt to keep that secret from Eric, but her efforts will fail. Sheila will make sure that she’s around the day that happens.
While Eric won’t instantly embrace Sheila, he will allow a friendship to form. That second frightening B&B development will lead to many months of increasing misery, as one of the great villains in daytime history again ingratiates herself into Eric’s personal life.
