The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that big things are brewing on the CBS soap. Bradley Bell, B&B’s head writer and executive producer, offered some great hints in a TV Insider interview. It’s clear that the show is prepping for some major shifts and fun storylines.
First, let’s talk about Thorne (Ingo Rademacher). Bell indicated that he was impressed by Rademacher’s acting power and wanted to see what he could bring to the B&B table. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Thorne will come back ready for battle. He’s been working with some designers in Europe, so he’ll be moving in on Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) territory.
Of course, Thorne will find other ways to infuriate Ridge as well. He won’t be happy with Ridge’s overall handling of Forrester or how he treated Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Eric (John McCook). Ridge’s former connection with Quinn (Rena Sofer) will certainly rile Thorne. It won’t be long until he becomes real competition for Brooke’s heart.
Thorne may not be the only familiar character with a new look. Bell hinted that he might bring back some other old favorites, but it looks like they would also be recasts. Unfortunately, there are a couple of recasts Bell isn’t interested in right now. Thomas (Pierson Fode) and Zende (Rome Flynn) will remain off canvas for the time being.
Since Thomas is going to be out of the picture, does that mean Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) is stuck off B&B, too? Bell admitted that he hasn’t decided Caroline’s fate yet. Many viewers are hoping Caroline will make a permanent return at some point, so let’s hope that works out down the road.
Reign Edwards (Nicole) is tackling exciting roles on other shows, so Bell couldn’t make any promises on her return either. As for Maya (Karla Mosley), don’t expect to see a lot more of her anytime soon. “I’ve come up with probably 20 [story] ideas but haven’t found the right one,” Bell said.
For now, Bell is content to see Maya as a chipper wife, mom and model. However, Rick (Jacob Young) fans should be pleased with the looming Forrester chaos. Thorne’s return will spark a power struggle and Rick will definitely get in on that.
Bill (Don Diamont) and Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) cheating scandal will be a huge story for B&B, so Bell gave viewers his take on that. Liam (Scott Clifton) and Bill appeal to Steffy in very different ways, so there’s going to be trouble. “Both men are sexy and alluring,” Bell said. It’s a story of darkness and light.”
Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) could find also herself caught between good and evil. She’ll continue to pose a quiet threat in the months ahead, but is she capable of change?
