The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers teased the introduction of Francisco San Martin’s character. It was revealed that he would play Mateo and now we have some juicy details on the role. Find out what Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) is holding over Mateo’s head.
Even though Mateo is technically a “conniving masseuse,” he will get another type of job. Eric Forrester (John McCook) hires him to be the estate manager. However, Sheila has come up with a plan to take advantage of some tragic family circumstances.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that Mateo’s mother suffers from a devastating illness. She is completely dependent on Mateo to provide for the family. Based on what the actor said in a recent interview with Soaps.com, Mateo is not a villain.
“Actually [he is] quite honorable and responsible. He has a lot of family issues, including a mother who is very sick and dependent on him.”
Sheila uses his need for funds to force Mateo’s hand… or should we say hands. Sheila tells him a tragic tall tale and convinces him to seduce Quinn (Rena Sofer.) Francisco San Martin revealed what we can expect.
“She tells him she used to be married to Eric and that she wants to be Mrs. Forrester again. She wants him to use his ‘talents’ to get rid of Quinn. His background in massage is going to come in very handy.”
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers indicate that Mateo won’t exactly be a willing participant in Sheila’s newest scheme. He will wrestle with guilt, but each time he wants to back out, Sheila will throw the money – and his mother’s sickness – in his face.
“Oh, there’s definitely a point where he’s like, ‘I don’t think I should break up a marriage!’ But Sheila reminds him about how much he needs that money.”
It appears that there might also be some tension between Eric and Mateo. Francisco San Martin teased that at one point, Eric indicates never to cross him or Mateo will regret it.
