The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Liam (Scott Clifton) will punch Bill (Don Diamont) in the kisser after he learns that his dad went to bed with his wife. However, B&B is merely teasing that Bill is the father of the baby Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is carrying.
Steffy is rightly panicked. She, like every single viewer, doesn’t know who the father of her baby is. How could she since Liam and Bill recently had relations with her? But time and sharp writing will eventually reveal beyond any soapy shadow of a doubt that Liam is a first-time dad.
Thankfully, Liam and Sally (Courtney Hope) were trapped under the rubble of the Spectra building drop-down. Yes, the implication is that Sally might have become pregnant as well. Wink.
B&B will clearly milk paternity questions through the time of Steffy, Junior’s birth. Okay, this scribe has no idea if a little girl, or a little Liam, Junior will be born less than nine months from now. But it would seem worthwhile to extend this storyline at least through the birthday, or past it, right?
As viewers recall, Liam was the undisputed goat in his marriage for a very brief period. But then Steffy epically overreacted to her husband’s gut-purge. The incredibly impulsive mistake she made with Bill deeply affected her. Bill is actually worse off, as Steffy was just beginning to pull out of her mental funk.
Liam’s incessant summer rant bled into the fall. He simply couldn’t get off the Sally train. Those two immature souls were in each other’s faces far too often. Liam wouldn’t listen to Steffy’s repeated pleas to stop, which enabled Bill and his daughter-in-law to grow closer.
One of the intriguing elements at this point in the storyline involves how, certainly not if, Liam will learn what his dad and Steffy did in the Forrester guest house. Savvy soap viewers might assume a script drip, drip, drip scenario where bits and pieces of information eventually allow Liam to connect the disgusting dots. Though, he, Sally, or someone else could also learn the facts, after which all heck would break loose.
Katie’s (Heather Tom) son through Bill bears his first name (Will, Zane Alexander Achor). So wouldn’t it be daytime dramatic if Liam was holding his son in his arms after Steffy delivered and he insisted that their boy’s middle name be William, in order to honor Dollar Bill? That would fit with Liam’s attempt to be inoffensive, while also seeking to make everyone feel good.
Devoted B&B fans should prepare themselves for a compelling arc that should at least extend through next summer.
