The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that it won’t be long until December winds down and Genoa City residents ring in the new year. Viewers are hoping that the CBS soap will deliver some shockers and shakeups. We’ve put together a wish list, so check out four things fans want to see in 2018.
1. Exciting storylines
Y&R has been doing a nice job with family interactions and friendships lately. It’s fun to see beloved characters spending time with each other. However, many Young and the Restless watchers are ready for some truly explosive stories. Competition is fierce in the soap world right now, so let’s hope Y&R has some major bombshells brewing in 2018.
2. Adam Newman’s Comeback
Since fans want some excitement, bringing in an Adam Newman recast is a fantastic idea. Anytime someone returns from the dead, there’s plenty of fallout to play around with. Y&R could get some serious mileage out of this. All they have to do is let Adam come home where he belongs!
3. Reunite popular couples
Reunions don’t have to happen overnight, but maybe speeding things up a bit wouldn’t hurt. Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil) are starting to reconnect, but there are more broken Y&R pairings to mend. Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) deserve another chance, too.
Perhaps Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) should get back together after Scott’s (Daniel Hall) cheating is exposed. Sharon Case suggested that her character would be getting back together but TPTB planned a slow return. Adam’s return would also reunite him with his soul mate, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). Of course, Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) might as well stop dragging their feet. We all know their reunion’s going to happen eventually!
4. Resolve old plots
The show kicked off several new plots recently, but what about the unresolved ones? It’d be great to see a few loose ends tied up. Y&R needs to make a decision on Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) as a couple. Are they all in or letting it go?
As for Victor and Nick, they should either make peace or commit to the war of the century. They can surely fight harder than this! The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) will be back to wrap up some lingering Hilary drama, so that’s good news. It sounds like all the pieces are falling into place, so we could get some satisfying conclusions soon.
