The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that an Adam recast may finally be in the works. There are several signs that the beloved Newman may be poised for a comeback. For starters, we have to look at what the other soaps are doing. Y&R obviously needs something to keep up with the competition.
General Hospital is already seeing a ratings spike thanks to Steve Burton’s return. The Bold and the Beautiful also made a splash by bringing back an infamous baddie. Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) will continue to drive storylines in the coming months.
Of course, Days of Our Lives is the king of returns right now. Chandler Massey, Robert Scott Wilson, Alison Sweeney and Eileen Davidson are just a few of the stars tapped for comebacks. It’s clear that Y&R needs a big return as well, which means Adam might be headed home.
Whether Michael Muhney reprises the role or not, Adam is needed on canvas. The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Victor (Eric Braeden) may deliver a final blow to Nick (Joshua Morrow) soon. By revealing Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) paternity, Victor would set up Adam’s homecoming.
Nick would be outraged by Victor and Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) lies, but this revelation wouldn’t change much without Adam around. It would stir up some great drama, but everything would get back to normal eventually. Nick would simply decide that he wouldn’t let it affect his relationship with Christian.
However, everything would shift once Adam reappeared. Nick recently talked to Chelsea about how their boys would be raised as brothers. Little does he know they actually are brothers! After Adam returns from the dead, he might decide he wants to raise Christian after all. He could take advantage of the second chance he’s been given.
Nick and Chelsea’s romance could also affect Adam’s goal. He might try to take Christian just to spite Nick. Plus, Victor will certainly be pulling the strings. He’ll do everything he can to manipulate the situation and push Adam toward the outcome he wants.
