The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Bella’s (Cali May Kinder) biological father is more important to Y&R’s writers than what her mom did to Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) in that cabin last September. A back office decision may have been made that will keep Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) crime(s) unaddressed, while at the same time tagging Scott (Daniel Hall, who was just hired in this recast role) as Bella’s dad. It will be totally outrageous if that happens!
Chloe shot Adam with a dart gun. It’s believed that only two people who know that happened are the same two who were involved. However, if Adam died in the explosion then Chloe (who would be responsible for his death) is the only one who knows what happened and will obviously remain mum in order to protect herself. That convenient write-away (meaning, a plot course that is taken to purposely push a character in an intended direction) wouldn’t pass the soapy smell test.
There’s no way to logically justify leaving this plot point open. However, by doing so Y&R can indefinitely delay the Adam recast. In other words, co-executive producer and head writer Sally Sussman, or people who are higher than her on the food chain, may be opting to sideline Chloe’s actions, as Chuck Pratt, Jr. (the former co-executive producer and head writer) wrote them.
Apparently grief for Delia (Sophie Pollono) allows Chloe to become some type of Patty-esque (Stacy Haiduk) figure, in that she can rationalize all her actions. But Patty is in a secure facility, until she escapes again. Chloe roams free in Genoa City and has made nice with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). Now there’s a phony friendship if there ever was one. And viewers are expected to suspend disbelief, thereby swallowing all of this?
Chloe stole Billy’s (then played by Billy Miller) DNA sample going on three years ago and left town. She planned on having herself artificially inseminated. But that procedure was never actually shown, as Hendrickson was off the show at the time.
Kevin (Greg Rikaart) could also be Bella’s biological father as well, regardless of the paternity test that he had conducted. Yet this character stands to be slapped hard if a third option is created and used.
Inventing some scenario that involves Chloe having somehow connected with Scott, who happens to be Lauren’s (Tracey Bregman) son, when she was in California would be a ridiculous plot point to start from. If this plan plays out hardcore viewers would be right to voice their displeasure. Possibly that storyline cement can be prevented from drying if enough Y&R raise their voices right now.
