The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will face her own big baby reveal in the near future. An answer will be provided to the question; Who is Bella’s (Cali May Kinder) daddy? Y&R viewers are patiently, or impatiently, depending upon one’s disposition, waiting to learn if Billy (Jason Thompson), Kevin (Greg Rikaart) or a mystery man is this little girl’s biological father.
Flashing back for refreshed perspective: Chloe was grief-ravaged after Delia (Sophie Pollono) was accidentally killed. Many people, including the accused, believed Adam (then played by Michael Muhney) unknowingly hit Delia on a dark road and fled the scene.
Despite all attempts to come to grips with the loss of her first-born, Chloe was unable to maintain control of her mental functions. Months passed and then finally, she was seen exiting Genoa City after having illegally obtained a sample of Billy’s genetic material. Her intent was to be artificially inseminated in order to create a Delia replacement.
Upon Hendrickson’s official full-time return to Y&R last year, Chloe had Bella in tow. However, the child’s age (which was approximately two-years-old) not only matched with the previously proposed insemination plan, but also with a final romantic interlude Chloe had with Rikaart’s character.
Kevin did the math and insisted upon a DNA test, which ruled him out. Y&R fans, along with those of other soaps know that such outcomes are often bought off, or otherwise adjusted. So, while not fully dismissible, Kevin remains in the running to be Bella’s dad.
Billy remains fully unaware that he may have another child. His naivete is completely understandable, especially since Chloe apparently doesn’t want Billy to know that he’s the father. This conclusion can be inferred by many viewers, as Chloe’s hesitancy when she’s around Billy implies that he is the one. Of course this implication could be a typical Y&R bait and switch!
However, a third alternative exists. Chloe might actually be telling the truth. She advised Kevin and others that she had a one-off with a guy she met in California during her supposed mental health rehabilitation. Plenty of past characters could be referenced by hardcore fans in that instance. This potential father could also become a fresh face, if introduced.
Of course, 3 Men and a Baby is the title of the classic 1987 film that starred Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg, Ted Danson and Nancy Travis. The plot of that flick and it’s 1990 sequel 3 Men and a Little Lady, are quite different than what’s unfolding in Genoa City in 2017.
However, Chloe’s actions and behavior are driving this storyline and thus the movie reference applies. And, yes Mama Mia! (the play, or movie) links can also be affixed by ABBA fans and all who are musically inclined.
