The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that viewers haven’t seen the last of (Chloe) Elizabeth Hendrickson. The actor’s continued presence on Y&R’s cast page indicates that there’s more drama to play out in the near future. Now that Greg Rikaart’s (Kevin) departure has also been announced, it seems very likely that a dramatic Khloe reunion will take place as well.
Hendrickson’s efforts have created one of the more dynamic characters in recent The Young and the Restless history. Chloe’s cyclone effect consistently disrupts many lives, leaving her loved ones, friends and enemies in similarly compromised positions.
This actor’s greatest scenes were delivered through the infamous ‘Delia (Sophie Pollono) Dies’ storyline, which played out in the fall of 2013. Like many epic soap arcs, the fallout from that event still effects numerous fictional personalities in meaningful ways.
How many Genoa City residents can say that they successfully manipulated Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)? Chloe memorably did it more than once. Add to that numerous battles that she’s won against both versions of Adam (Michael Muhney and Justin Hartley). Disrupting this particular father and son combination surely qualifies this character for Hall of Fame status.
Last summer Chloe accepted the Dark Knight’s offer to help him frame Adam for the invented murder of Constance Bingham (Sally Kellerman). Not content with Victor’s plan, Chloe withheld needed evidence that would have exonerated the man she holds responsible for the death of her first-born daughter.
Chloe’s ongoing battle to compensate for her deep mental health issues allowed Hendrickson to play an unstated dual role. Miss Mitchell offered one faux face to the world that exists in Wisconsin and her real soul to Y&R’s fans.
The recent flashback reveal that showed how Adam is believed to have died was outstanding. In that sequence Chloe is shown to have tracked Adam to the cabin, shot him with a tranquilizer gun and then blown him to the next world by having ruptured a propane line.
Melissa Claire Egan’s (Chelsea) solid turn pushed what was a terrific story to even higher ground. The dashed Khloe wedding story, which resulted when Adam’s ring was unexpectedly found provided a believable resolution to what had transpired to that point.
Hendrickson has earned four Daytime Emmy Award Nominations (2009, 2012, 2014, and 2015) to-date. Seasoned voters should at least allow any proposed nomination for her 2017 efforts to reach the final stage when next’s year’s ceremony is streamed.
In what should prove to be compulsory viewing, a summer The Young and the Restless storyline that has Kevin searching for Chloe must be developing in Y&R’s writer’s room. If so, a Khloe reunion would easily project to a happy ending for both well-liked actors.
Rumors of Hendrickson’s exit from the cast this spring, Chloe’s flight to Thunder Bay, Ontario, narration of Bella’s (Cali May Kinder) paternity letters that Kevin and Billy (Jason Thompson) received and Victor’s flashback, which showed him bribing Chloe to disappear forever, seemed to complete Hendrickson’s run.
But news of Rikaart’s exit reopens the probability that Chloe will be seen again. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless. Check back regularly for Y&R spoilers and news! Please come and join in the LIVE discussion on our Facebook Page!
