The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Dylan (Steve Burton) is about to face the most dangerous part of his mission. His ultimate goal is to take down Fisk and he’s finally secured a meeting with him. However, Alex (Jess Webb) indicated that “Derek” would have to trust her. Fisk is obviously the one running the show.
Things will go south pretty soon, but there’s still no word on what will go wrong. We know that Sharon (Sharon Case) will grow increasingly anxious about her husband’s fate. It’s hard for Sharon to accept that she can’t contact Dylan at all. She just wants to make sure he’s OK and will be coming back to her.
During a recent Twitter chat, Steve Burton revealed some intriguing details about what’s ahead. A Young and the Restless fan wondered if Dylan would share any other scenes with Sharon and Paul (Doug Davidson). Burton replied that there would be “more to come.” He also noted that he would be open to returning to Y&R for short stints in the future.
If we take all of that into consideration, it leaves us with some intriguing options. Will Dylan make it back to Genoa City for a goodbye or could that farewell take place in Miami? Regardless, it seems he’ll get some closure. It’s possible that Dylan will land in the hospital after his cover his blown.
Dylan may be no match for Fisk. This guy is bad news and could easily target Dylan’s family. Dylan might realize that his loved ones wouldn’t be safe with him around. Could he enter the witness protection program to spare those closest to him?
Of course, Sharon wouldn’t be willing to walk away from Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind), Noah (Robert Adamson) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes). Even if she toyed around with the idea, Dylan certainly wouldn’t let her leave them. He wouldn’t want to deprive Sharon of her life in Genoa City. Dylan may even fake his death if need be.
This would be a nice way to leave the door open for a return. Once somebody eventually takes down Fisk and his team, Dylan might be in the clear. Sharon may have moved on with Nick (Joshua Morrow) or someone else by then, but Dylan could still pop up to see his parents.
