Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that a tough day’s ahead for several Salemites. When we last saw Lani (Sal Stowers), she was anxious to get out of the hospital. Valerie (Vanessa Williams) seemed curious about why Lani wanted to leave so soon. That brought Lani’s heartbreaking confession, which will lead to this week’s difficult event.
Lani admitted that she wanted to plan her son’s funeral. She feels it’s important to go ahead and lay him to rest. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Lani and Eli (Lamon Archey) will come together for this painful task. They’d much rather be assembling a crib or picking out a stroller. Instead, they’ll have to select a baby casket and mull over their emotional speeches.
Fortunately, DOOL will probably spare us most of the details. It’s just too darn sad! They’ll likely skip over the devastating planning and focus on the actual funeral on a new Days episode July 20. Nevertheless, you may want to have a tissue box handy. Days spoilers say Lani, Eli, Abe (James Reynolds) and Valerie will grieve for little David. They’ll use this as a chance to bid the baby farewell and gain some closure.
Each of the funeral attendees will likely speak. Lani and Eli decided Abraham would be the perfect middle name, so Abe may address that. He might point out that he’ll always feel connected to his grandson. As for Valerie, she’ll break down in tears over the life David will never have. Valerie will hate that she couldn’t have done more to help.
Eli normally holds back his feelings, but he should get choked up as well. He was thrown for a loop at first, but he was really looking forward to fatherhood in the end. Of course, this should be the toughest on Lani. She’s been a mess over her lost little one, but she’ll be glad they’re saying a proper goodbye. Lani may remember the words of wisdom JJ (Casey Moss) gave her as she lets go.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say this experience will help Lani and Eli bond, so their feelings could grow in the process. Will their mutual tragedy result in a romance?
