Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal Camila Banus, who portrays Gabi Hernandez on the NBC sudser has a brand new gig – she has joined the hugely popular FOX hit series ‘STAR’.
According to DOOL sources at Deadline, it has been confirmed Camila is in Atlanta filming for her new role, Nina Ferrera. She will portray the wife of actor William Levy’s character, Mateo Ferrera. Mateo has signed on a season regular while Camila is set as a recurring character.
William Levy will play the role of an extremely successful media mogul, who will break rules to get what he wants. Both actors are joining a cast of huge names, including Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt, Quincy Jones and Stephen Dorff.
Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal this isn’t the first time Camila Banus has done work outside of daytime dramas. She has played Gabi on DOOL since 2010, but before that she appeared on One Life to Live as both Lola Montez and Talia Sahid in 2008-2009.
She also appeared in several primetime series, including Mistresses (Kylie), Hawaii Five-0 (Tori Onuma) and Snowfall (Lucia Villanuevo).
DOOL’s Gabi Hernandez is up to her neck in schemes while she is in Salem. She has been busy ruining Abigail Devaraux DiMera (currently-Marci Miller) and Stefan DiMera’s (Tyler Christopher) lives; messing with Abigail’s marriage to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn).
She just reconnected with her daughter, Ari; so fans will have to stay tuned to find out what happens as it currently hasn’t been revealed if this new job will interfere at all with her airtime on NBC’s Days of Our Lives.
FOX’s ‘Star’ is set to premiere its third season on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 9pm, directly after ‘Empire’. Fans of Camila Banus will not want to miss out on her debut on the primetime series!
