Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers is pleased to announce that Drake Hogestyn, who portrays John Black on the NBC soap, has some exciting family news. Drake’s character John has been having a tough time lately, since his on-screen love Marlena (Deidre Hall) was nearly fatally shot at their wedding. But things are much happier in Drake’s own real-life family.
Drake recently shared on Twitter that he’s going to be a grandpa! He posted photographs of his daughter Whitney and her husband Tommy revealing the gender of their unborn baby on their 1-year wedding anniversary.
The couple used a gender-reveal balloon to announce the baby’s gender to their family. Gender-reveal balloons, which say “He or She? Pop To See!” are filled with either pink or blue confetti to signify whether the baby is going to be a boy or girl.
The pictures that Drake posted clearly show the balloons being popped with blue confetti going everywhere, so that means Drake and his wife Victoria are going to be grandparents to a baby boy!
You can tell from the message that Drake posted along with the pictures that he’s excited. He wrote: “After a rough couple of weeks in Salem, this was a welcomed respite! What a blessing on their 1st anniversary today. Congratulations Tommy & Whitney! Woohoo!”
Drake also left a bit of a mystery for fans, as he included the hashtag #guesshisname at the end of the post. Apparently, the baby has been named, but fans will have to watch and wait for the big baby name reveal.
