General Hospital Spoilers reveal lots of babies are in the future for Port Charles residents – what is in that water? Maxie West (Kirsten Storms) and town pariah Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) are the most familiar mommies to be, but General Hospital Spoilers tease a surprise pregnancy.
GH buzz says long time PC resident, Nurse Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) could join the club. If Elizabeth and fiance Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) welcome a new bundle of joy to their brood, it would be Elizabeth’s fourth child and Franco’s first.
General Hospital brought together the most unlikely couple, tortured artist and most hated PC resident Franco Baldwin and Nurse Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) – the Beauty and the Beast. Well in terms of backgrounds yes, not by physical traits, though Elizabeth is a beauty.
They are an unlikely couple in a way – most rape survivors, which Liz is, do not hook up with a man who has such a violent and sordid background as Franco. Longtime General Hospital watchers know that Franco (James Franco) kidnapped Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) and made her and husband at the time Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) think that he raped her. Franco was also part of the reason Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was raped in prison.
Elizabeth went against the grain and gave embattled soul Franco a second chance at life, ignoring his horrible dark past and has made it her mission to stand by him as he uncovers what really happened to him as a child.
Some GH fans have had a hard time digesting this coupling, on the other hand, the new General Hospital fans who do not remember the awful human being Franco was (as played by James Franco) at the time have really embraced Franco and his second shot at life, with Nurse Webber.
Elizabeth has been a breath of fresh air for Franco she makes him whole a feeling he has never felt in his life, and he in return is her and her son’s protector. Franco was the reason Jake (Hudson West) overcame all of the issues that he struggled with when he finally came back from being held as a prisoner by the evil Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). Franco and Liz need each other together they make each other whole.
GH buzz teases that once the Liz and Jake kidnapped story is wrapped up Elizabeth will find out she is pregnant by Franco. The question is how will Franco react – he shied away from Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford) when she begged for a child with him. Franco said he did not want any child to carry his horrible DNA, and then that was the end of that relationship.
Franco and Elizabeth have had their share of obstacles and so far they have overcome them. At the moment they live apart because both want to find out the whole truth of what lurks within Franco’s dark past. Will Elizabeth’s new revelation of pregnancy bring the two closer together or drive them further apart? Franco still feels he is unworthy of anything good but will he change his tune once he actually sees the sonogram of Baby Baldwin/Webber?
Naturally Elizabeth’s pregnancy will be a shock felt around Port Charles, especially by Jason Morgan who despises Franco with everything in him. But the baby news will be welcomed by Grandpa to be Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) whose joy may be shortlived since General Hospital has announced the departure of Kin Shriner. As one Baldwin exits a new Baldwin arrives, only time will tell if the Baldwin circle of life continues on.
