General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) heart will take her down an interesting road. The twin storyline is shifting, so now’s a good time to reflect and predict. There seems to be a pretty clear path at the moment, but the end result could bring surprises for other crucial characters.
GH is pushing Sam and Jason (Steve Burton) together, but they’re probably not the long-term plan. Instead, this reunion is probably more about letting Sam close the door on the past and prepare for a new future. If Sam doesn’t cave in and let herself fall for Jason again, she’ll always have to wonder what would’ve happened. That doesn’t mean they’ll last, but it’s an important part of the story.
It’d be a mistake if General Hospital just ignored JaSam’s history. They have to dive deep here so Sam can eventually move on with Drew (Billy Miller). This will give Jason and Sam fans something to cling to as well. Even though Sam will likely make Drew her final choice, “JaSam” supporters deserve a little something!
Besides, it’s a great way to add to the drama. Soaps have plenty of episodes to fill over the course of a year. They’re constantly looking for opportunities to stretch it out and keep everyone tuning in. Once this portion of the story wraps up and Sam inevitably decides on Drew, what’ll be next for Jason? He’ll undoubtedly need another love interest to soothe his heartache and help him heal.
Franco (Roger Howarth) and Liz (Rebecca Herbst) have their fair share of fans, but how many lies can Liz take? These two may be headed for a breakup and Jason could play a role in it. He’ll grow increasingly concerned about Jake (Hudson West) in the coming weeks.
Once Liz learns about Franco’s latest deception, she could start to believe Jason was right. Liz and Jason could also reconnect as Jake’s parents. The kid will need plenty of support, so they’ll soon grow much closer. General Hospital spoilers say the JaSam angle will be explored, so perhaps “Liaison” will come later. Jason and Liz’s romance could be the next stop on the revived history tour.
Naturally, that may not be the end of the story either. Couples break up and make up all the time in the soap world. Still, General Hospital is certainly setting up another potential chapter for Liz and Jason. We’ll give you updates as other GH news comes in.
