General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Jason (Steve Burton) will continue to support Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) decisions. He’s been adamant that her happiness comes first. It’s painful for Jason to watch Sam plan her future with Drew (Billy Miller), but he doesn’t want to cause more problems. Jason’s return has already brought plenty of complications and he’s trying to be respectful of Sam’s desires.
However, Jason’s passive nature could be the real reason a “JaSam” reunion hasn’t happened already. Drew spent a great deal of time making it clear that he would fight for Sam. He only recently started to soften on that stance. Drew still loves Sam with all his heart, but he finally sees that her opinion has to come first.

That could make it easier for Jason to win Sam over, but only if he’s willing to be bold. He could shift the situation if he learns to put it all out there. Many GH fans are rooting for Jason and Sam to get back together. They’re hoping to see Jason step up his efforts in the coming weeks.
Steve Burton chimed in the topic in a recent tweet, but he had to be cryptic about it. General Hospital is trying to keep a tight lid on all the storyline details. They want viewers to be surprised by what’s ahead. Still, you can’t blame GH watchers for wanting the scoop!
One fan asked, “Is Jason ever going to fight for Sam? He’s being so passive. I need him to go for what he wants.” Burton quoted the tweet and replied, “We shall see what the writers have in store.” He added a smiley face, so maybe there’s hope!
After all, Burton didn’t have to answer the question. He could’ve skipped it, but he chose to acknowledge the problem and hint that the writers might address it. Deep down, perhaps Sam just needs to know how much Jason wants her. She may be longing for Jason to spell it out and insist that he should be her man.
Should Jason stop accepting his circumstances? Is stepping back the right call or does Sam secretly need him to fight for their romance?
