General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) future in Port Charles is uncertain. There’s been some GH buzz about Stuart’s potential departure. Could he be leaving the show? A few clues point in that direction, but nothing’s been confirmed yet. Still, it’s worth considering the possibility. It’s always a good idea to hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
Stuart is a fantastic actor and a real asset to General Hospital. Valentin has gone a bit soft lately, but he definitely has a dark side. It’s nice having some villains around PC, so it’d be a shame to lose him. However, Stuart shot a pilot that could get picked up. It’s doubtful he’ll stay at GH if that moves forward.
Stuart also had a birthday not too long ago. That brought several celebratory tweets from his costars and some of them seemed to contain clues. On Twitter, Chloe Lanier (Nelle) posted a picture from a scene she filmed with Stuart. She also dropped a possible hint about his exit.
Lanier tweeted, “Happy birthday to the insanely talented @japastu ! You elevate the work of everyone around you. Your ease as an actor is remarkable to watch and I’m lucky to have worked with you.” Notice she said she was lucky to HAVE worked with Stuart. Does that mean she won’t have any more chances?
If Lanier knows that Stuart’s exiting, that would explain a lot. Valentin and Nelle probably wouldn’t have time to cross paths again. They’re not in each other’s stories at the moment, so it would take a while to pull them back toward each other.
Michelle Stafford’s Instagram post also appeared to include a hint. After all the usual birthday stuff, Stafford basically wished Stuart luck with his future endeavors. She exclaimed, “You just started to live!! Your greatest achievements (besides being a parent) are ahead of you! Go get um!!” GH fans can see how that might be interpreted as a goodbye.
Valentin’s made plenty of enemies, so it’d be easy to kill him off or have him vanish under mysterious circumstances. Do you think Valentin’s exit is imminent?
