General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) hard work may have been for nothing. He put a lot of time, effort and money into tracking down Nina Reeves’ (Michelle Stafford) daughter, but things won’t turn out as well as he’d hoped. Nina’s about to face more heartache, so Valentin could end up wishing he’d left all this alone.
Before divulging the truth to Nina, Valentin tried to be careful. He told Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) they couldn’t share their search news too soon. Valentin feared that Nina’s child couldn’t be found or was perhaps dead. Even after Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was located, Valentin didn’t want to jump the gun. He was careful to make sure they had a DNA match before moving forward.
Sadly, Valentin’s whole plan will backfire – at least initially. Nina may be hurt worse than if she’d been kept in the dark! When Curtis spoke to Nina, he warned her that Sasha could be hard to win over. Sasha didn’t want to believe she’d been adopted, so accepting the facts should be tough for her. She’ll struggle with the concept of having a birth mom.
Nina doesn’t want to upset Sasha or rip her life apart, but she’d certainly love to form a relationship with her. It’s always been Nina’s dream to have a child she could connect with and call her own. She’ll surely be willing to go as slow as Sasha needs, but the pace won’t be the problem. Unfortunately, Sasha won’t want to make any kind of connection at all.
After Sasha meets up with her birth mother and completely rejects her, Nina will wish she’d handled this differently. General Hospital spoilers state that she’ll be filled with regret. Nina may second-guess her decision to call Sasha so quickly. She might think it’s her fault that Sasha was scared off. Nina may believe if she’d just given Sasha more time, her walls would’ve come down sooner or later.
GH spoilers say Nina will likely give up hope, but she really shouldn’t. Sasha could still come around after she processes everything. Of course, there’s a chance someone else out there is Nina’s true daughter. With soaps, you never know what twists are just around the corner.
