Pride thought that he was safe once he took down Associate Attorney General Eric Barlow, but he still has plenty of enemies on tonight’s all-new episode of “NCIS: New Orleans”.

Amelia Parsons had been Barlow’s righthand for a number of years and many assumed that she knew her prospects were gone without him, so that’s why Amelia had nothing to lose when she broke into Pride’s apartment. She had waited for him to from the balcony and then used the opportunity to shoot Pride several times. Amelia then tried to get away cleanly only LaSalle walked in before she fled. Amelia was forced to jump off the balcony in her bid to get away and so LaSalle eventually gained on her. She had tried to turn around to shoot at him and he had returned fire yet he had only gotten her the once. Amelia took a bullet to the stomach and it hadn’t been enough to slow down much less stop her.

Amelia was able to steal a car and flee the scene however LaSalle had at least known who he and his team were going to be tracking. They had rushed Pride to the hospital and Wade had gone with him while the others had stayed behind to investigate. They took bullets casings and had even called into NCIS headquarters to see what they could find out about Amelia. Amelia, as it happens, had had more than one reason to shoot Pride. Pride had apparently killed Amelia’s husband John Stone several years ago and so that might explain why she had been so helpful with trying to take him down in the first place. The team also learned that Amelia worked with the CIA as a freelancer. She was a paid assassin that the government wanted to distance from if they ever needed to and that time was now.

Amelia had shown how unhinged she was. No one wanted anything to do with her and so NCIS thought if they showed her picture that it would bring them more leads. They had tried checking all the hospitals to see if anyone had stolen blood bags and when that didn’t work they had tried checking baiting Amelia into presenting herself. Amelia broke out of a prison hospital to get her shot at Pride and so they figured she would break into a heavily guarded hospital if she hears that Pride is expected to recover. The man himself was actually a lot closer to death than anyone on his team was prepared to believe. Pride was in a coma where he was talking to Agent Sutter. Sutter was dead and she was trying to convince Pride to go through the pearly gates.

Only Pride couldn’t do that. He didn’t want to hurt his friends and family and so he chose to fight instead. Pride was fighting with Sutter so much that he was actually talking throughout his coma. He could be overheard saying “not convinced” and Gregorio took that as a good sign. She hadn’t wanted to spend time luring out Amelia when Pride was at risk and she chose to stay at the hospital just to make sure Amelia wouldn’t try to attack while he was down. And it was a good thing that she did because the plan hadn’t worked. Amelia knew that they were luring her out by saying Pride would be moved to a different hospital and so she forced a woman to ram the empty ambulance vehicle while she went to the hospital.

Amelia faked a car accident and had them carry her in but the second she could she got the drop on the nurses and began killing her way up to Pride’s floor. Gregorio had given Wade a gun and had left them to take down Amelia when she was quickly knocked out. So Amelia had only two things standing in her way – Wade and Rita. Rita thankfully knew what she was doing with a gun and so it was up to Wade to stop Pride from dying. He wasn’t supposed to be and the fact that they moved him caused him to start bleeding out again. Wade tried to work on him and keeping him alive only Amelia found out where they were hiding because Pride’s blood left a trail. Amelia found him before long and she offered not to hurt them if they just handed over Pride. And that was never going to happen.

Amelia had to take a chair to break down the door and, as she was about to enter, Sebastian began shooting. He got Amelia away from the door and she had tried to make a run for it. Except LaSalle chased after her and he eventually corned Amelia. Amelia hadn’t cared though. She had wanted LaSalle to kill her and he refused to do it. He chose to remove her gun and arrest her. Amelia will now face serious time thanks to things she did for Barlow and for trying to kill a federal agent. As for Pride, he had almost gone into the light and what stopped was his daughter. Someone had pulled strings into getting her a private flight to New Orleans and so she was there when he began flatlining. And just hearing her voice stopped him from giving up.

Pride woke up and he believed the bad part was behind him until he saw Sutter again.

Sutter had one final message for him.

She wanted to say, “see you soon”.

THE END!
