Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are feeling increasingly frustrated over her father Thomas Markle Sr and all of the paid media interviews he’s been doing lately. As a matter of fact, a new report suggests that Thomas Markle might not be getting that invitation to Buckingham Palace that he was hoping for, as he continues to make more contact with the tabloids than with his own daughter.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the Duke and Duchess have not had any contact with Thomas Markle Sr since it was announced that he wouldn’t be attending their royal wedding back in May. Thomas was due to walk his daughter down the aisle until a last minute heart surgery forced him to cancel his plans.
And while no one knows what kind of relationship Thomas has with Meghan these days, it’s more than obvious that he is growing closer with the tabloid media than with the former Hollywood star.
For Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, they’ve absolutely had enough of all the embarrassment Thomas is causing for everyone. Once source told the site, “[They] are frustrated he keeps speaking to the tabloids and taking payment for interviews.”
Thomas has said that the phone number he had for Meghan Markle in London doesn’t work anymore. If that weren’t enough, he also says that Meghan looks terrified in her new life as a royal and that she is faking it with her “pained smile” during her royal engagements.
Despite his very public comments, Thomas is still hopeful that Meghan will reach out to him. He has told media outlets that he hopes to one day be her child’s grandfather and that he is also sorry for anything that he’s done wrong in the past.
Many royal critics believe that the more Thomas Markle Sr speaks to the media, the less likely he will ever speak to Meghan again. He has also noted that he is yet to meet Queen Elizabeth or her new husband Prince Harry for that matter.
Of course the last thing Queen Elizabeth wants is for Thomas or anyone in the royal family to speak to the tabloid media about their family affairs. So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about Thomas’ controversial remarks.
