All of a sudden their are shots fired, Eddie and Sam run in the house and find a guy holding a gun over a woman and he says he didn’t do it. Sam is shocked, they caught him red handed. The victim’s name is Doria Passmore, a film student. The shooter is her teacher, Brad Marsh, a B movie producer.

Sam thinks Cindy is the one who killed Doria because her shirt is inside out and she looks guilty. Cindy looses it, she feels that Cindy is blaming her and throws the two of them out of her house. Eddie thinks Brad is guilty, Sam thinks he is innocent.

At the coroner’s office, the only DNA under Doria’s fingernails belongs to Brad. The system found a match for her fingerprints, she is not Doria, she is Tina Flores and has been dead for eight years. She had a criminal past, but just petty theft.

Sam has a new assistant, her name is Monica and Sam tells Eddie he is not paying for her.

Eddie and Sam are in the car and reveals to her that Jace, the guy who locked them in the closet, is the one who hired Max.

Jace has had multiple arrests for luxury drug possession. Sam thinks this whole thing screams drugs, maybe Doria was his drug dealer. In fact, Sam things maybe Jace and Doria had a falling out and maybe Jace hired Max to follow her and when he found out she was having an affair with a married man, he made Brad the fall guy.

At Jace’s office, he tells Eddie and Sam that Doria was blackmailing him. She had pictures of them in bed and threatened to send them to his wife, he hired Max to get the evidence back.
