The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that baby drama will take center stage for a while. Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) just went into labor, so the week of December 31-January 4 will be all about getting Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) to Catalina Island. Once Liam finally makes it with Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) help, the story will shift to the shocking aftermath of Hope’s delivery.
There’s no confirmation yet on how it’ll all go down, but Dr. Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady) seems poised to steal “Lope’s” baby and use her to make some quick cash.
Baby Beth will probably be “dead” to Liam and Hope, but Reese may actually sell her to take care of his dangerous debt. Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) could be killed without such drastic action.
However, nothing could justify the sorrow Reese will likely put Liam and Hope through. It makes sense for B&B to play this angle. No one likes for a nearly full-term pregnancy to end in an actual death on a soap.
We’ve had to watch Hope waddle around with that baby bump for months and we expect to get something out of it!
Plus, it’s sad to get so close to a character for the future and have her snatched away. Just think of the Spencer sister drama that could come out of this. By the time Kelly Spencer (Zoe Pennington) and Beth Spencer are teenagers, they’ll inevitably be competing over the same guy.
They could be great romantic rivals if The Bold and the Beautiful keeps them both, so it’s wise to go for a faked death.
This way the actors will still get gripping material for their Daytime Emmy reels. B&B viewers will still get emotional performances as well. When the truth comes out down the road, the show can deliver a big reveal and earn points for that, too.
When you throw in the fact that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will likely adopt Beth, it makes all of this soap opera gold. For right now, it seems Hope and Liam will experience total devastation.
The “death” of Beth should affect all of the major B&B families in one way or another. Maya Avant (Karla Mosley) recently gave her blessing to let their daughters share a name. She’ll certainly be devastated for this couple and since Zoe is connected to Reese, it could pull Xander Avant (Adain Bradley) into this as well.
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) will connect with Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) as they support Steffy, who’ll be rattled by her own “baby daddy’s” nightmare. That’ll lead to strain with Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), who’ll want to focus on Hope and her collapsing marriage. Liam may pull away or even get shut out by Hope. There’d no predicting how dark things will get for this duo.
The only bright spot in this is that Bill may fully repair his relationship with Liam. He’ll support his son through the crisis ahead, so that’ll be one of the few bright spots. Nevertheless, the ramifications of Reese’s crimes will reach far and wide.
