The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update and recap for Friday, December 14, tease that Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) will brush off a flirty Mia (Noemi Gonzalez). She’ll want him to play hooky and have some sexy fun, but Rey will insist on getting to work. Mia will feel like Rey’s job matters more to him than she does, but she’ll surrender for now.
Later, Lola (Sasha Calle) will fill Kyle (Michael Mealor) in on her new chef gig. Abby (Melissa Ordway) will seem proud that she set it all in motion. Once Mia arrives, she’ll mention that she’s serving as Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) personal stylist. Abby will take a jab about Mia starting small when Lola’s going big, but Arturo (Jason Canela) will think they’re both accomplishing a lot.
After Mia heads back up to the apartment, she’ll shed a few tears. Meanwhile, Arturo and Abby will clash. He’ll feel like Abby was trying to make Mia feel bad, but Abby will gripe about him rushing to Mia’s defense. Over with Jack (Peter Bergman), he’ll send Kerry (Alice Hunter) a dinner invitation. Jack has been irritated with Kerry for playing games, but he’ll decide to keep pursuing her anyway.
When Kerry shows up at the Abbott mansion, Jack will be wearing a tuxedo. He’ll turn on the charm and list Kerry’s many positive qualities. She’ll explain why she’s attracted to him as well, which will eventually lead to a kiss underneath the mistletoe.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will lash out at Sharon (Sharon Case). She’ll burst in the cottage and start ranting about the trauma Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) endured. Sharon will defend the plan and contend that they couldn’t be sure of how much Tessa knew. She’ll remind Mariah of the blackmail and all the chaos Tessa caused.
Mariah will fire back about the girls’ night gang covering up J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) death. She won’t think they have room to talk when it comes to lies and bad behavior. Sharon will argue that Tessa is guilt-tripping Mariah into staying together. She’ll want Tessa dumped and out of her daughter’s life, but Mariah will push Sharon to back off.
Of course, Sharon won’t follow orders! She’ll end up sparring with Tessa at the athletic club later and secretly costing her the server job. When Tessa meets up with Mariah, she’ll mention not getting the position. Tessa will add that she had a run-in with Sharon, so Mariah will know exactly what went down. She’ll head back to Sharon’s house to confront her mom about interfering with Tessa’s job hunt.
Y&R spoilers say Sharon won’t deny her meddling. She’ll insist she’s going to make sure Tessa walks away, so it sounds like more trouble’s brewing. Back at Rey’s place, he’ll gush over Lola’s happy news and leave Mia distraught. She’ll admit she feels so alone right now. Mia will suggest they should just end this if Rey isn’t interested, but he’ll assure of his love and take her to the bedroom for sex.
Once the deed is done, Mia will bring up Nikki’s name and their new friendship. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey will blow his top. They’ll debate whether Victor (Eric Braeden) is guilty and argue over Mia being used by Nikki. Rey will make it clear that Nikki isn’t going to be Mia’s gal pal.
