The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that there’s some good news and bad news to pass along. First, let’s get the bad news out of the way. You’ve most likely heard about Mishael Morgan’s (Hilary) departure by now. Sadly, Morgan just wrapped up filming on the CBS soap.
After a farewell party with the cast and crew, Morgan sent out a tweet to commemorate her wild soap ride. She said, “…and that’s a wrap. Just over five years ago, I tweeted a pic of CBS to announce the start of my journey on Y&R. Now, I have to say good bye. Sooo bittersweet. Thank you to everyone who supported me on my journey. On to the next adventure! #YR #goodbye #lastday.”
Morgan reposted the pic from the announcement she mentioned. She also put up a new one from her final Young and the Restless gathering. That brings us to the good news we mentioned. Morgan appears to be sporting a baby bump! It looks like she’s pregnant in real life, so that’s certainly something to celebrate.
Unfortunately, heartbreak is brewing for Morgan’s expectant character. Hilary’s going to need an exit strategy, so losing the baby seems inevitable. Y&R buzz points to a car crash causing a miscarriage, but there’s no confirmation on that just yet.
Previous whispers also hinted that Hilary might die, but now that gossip’s fizzled a bit. Perhaps Hilary will live and simply leave town in despair. It’s possible Hilary will face severe injuries that leave unable to bear more children. That’d be a decent reason to walk away from Devon (Bryton James) and look for peace on her own. Plenty of soap characters have bailed to find themselves over the years.
Whatever the case, Y&R fans will hate to see Hilary go. On the bright side, Morgan is a talented performer with many opportunities ahead of her. She can even enjoy a little pregnancy down time if she chooses to. That bundle of joy will be here soon enough, so Morgan will certainly be busy!
