The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Sharon And Nick Getting Back Together As Shick Revival Story Grows

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease a full reunion between Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow). But do readers believe this will actually happen in modern day Genoa City?

It’s totally understandable that GC fans have opinions about whether Shick should be revived. Those takes are fully valued. But regardless or maybe because of audience assessment, will Y&R allow it to happen?

There are reasons to root for, or against said reunion. Diplomatic responses are not encouraged by shrill voices in today’s self-proclaimed social media age. However a review of history and current facts is worthwhile.

Sharon and Nick’s love story took root nearly a quarter-century ago. Case and Morrow joined Y&R’s cast in 1994. Their additions represented a significant shift in longterm storyline planning. A major section of script time has since been devoted to both characters and all who have been connected to them.

Shick’s eventual marriage led to the birth of their first child, Noah (eventually played by Robert Adamson). Sharon’s then-best friend Grace (Jennifer Gareis) located Cassidy Johnson (Camryn Grimes), brought her to town and raised the little girl for approximately a year with Tony (Nick Scotti).

Cassie was given up for adoption by Sharon at birth. Grace initially withheld Cassie’s true identity from Sharon, but eventually told her the truth. Nick later had an affair with Grace, who was one of Y&R’s more lustfully presented 1990’s characters.

Shick’s world forever changed when fourteen-year-old Cassie drove Daniel’s (Michael Graziadei) car because he’d passed out from drinking. An accident occurred, which caused Cassie’s death shortly thereafter. Longtime Y&R fans have often placed Grimes’ farewell performance (as that initial character), along with the connected performances of Case and Morrow, with the most indelible efforts in Y&R’s modern era.

Cassie’s totally unexpected erase led to Nick taking comfort in Phyllis’ (then played by Michelle Stafford) arms. Summer (Hunter King) was conceived and Shick was over.

While Sharon and Nick have remained connected through the years, mostly due to their children, a reunion never happened until 2014. Gina Tognoni assumed Stafford’s role four years ago and, Grimes regained her full-time cast status by becoming Cassie’s twin, Mariah.

Shick stood at the altar during their wedding ceremony when Phyllis once again intervened. Her pronouncement regarding Sharon’s manipulation of Summer’s paternity results stopped Shick Part II from happening.

Moving more than a decade ahead, after the Sully-was-always-Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) drama played out, Sharon and Nick grew closer. Nick recently helped Sharon with her Scott (Daniel Hall) betrayal. Now, due to her oddly working with Phyllis, Sharon has positioned herself to be Nick’s go-to lady once more.

She just woke up after being knocked unconscious by Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), who is Nick’s fiance. Mariah and Nick are with Sharon in the hospital. Yes, the family looks like it’s getting back together, with the understood Cassie-Mariah swap having occurred. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless.
