The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that some stunning twists are ahead on the CBS soap. It just wouldn’t be May sweeps without some shockers and shakeups. Jack’s (Peter Bergman) paternity is on the verge of exposure, so fans are gearing up for the big reveal. After the bomb drops publicly, Jack’s heart will be shattered and he’ll sink to a dark place.
However, Jack may not have a reason to be devastated. Is everything really as it seems? The Young and the Restless has left the door open for a crucial mistake. Dina (Marla Adams) revealed that Jack’s father wasn’t John (Jerry Douglas), so Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) decided to get proof. They believe they have evidence that Jack isn’t a blood Abbott, but that’s just not true.
It’s certainly possible that Jack isn’t John’s son, but the DNA test didn’t prove that. It merely proved that Jack and Traci (Beth Maitland) aren’t full siblings. Abby and Ashley assume that Traci belongs to John, but what if they’re wrong? Y&R could have an even bigger bombshell waiting after Jack’s downward spiral. Traci could be the one with the unknown dad!
Let’s consider what we’re dealing with here. Traci isn’t around that much, so it might be better to make her the non-Abbott. After John’s death, Jack became the patriarch of the Abbott family. He’s got a thriving legacy at Jabot and it seems silly to make him belong to someone other than John.
Plus, Dina often calls Jack by John’s name. That has to be significant. Dina once told Abby that she sees her old lover every time she looks at Jack. How can that be true if he reminds her so much of John? Perhaps her dementia’s just jumbling things a bit. Dina may have actually gone to the Stardust Inn with Traci’s father. The Young and the Restless fans just can’t trust Dina’s version of events.
Of course, losing an Abbott is heartbreaking any way you slice it. Most viewers would love for both Traci and Jack to keep their current status. Some test tampering or a lab error could make that happen. Nevertheless, Traci would probably be the better choice if someone’s paternity has to change.
