The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, July 24, tease that Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) condition will rapidly decline. Devon (Bryton James) will break down in tears as he watches his true love fade. He’ll cling to the idea that a miracle might come along. Devon won’t want to give up, so he’ll be looking for any kind of hope.
Sadly, Nate (Brooks Darnell) will insist that Hilary can’t be saved. He’ll exhaust all options trying, but he’ll eventually push Devon to accept this. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon will have a difficult realization. He’ll decide it’s time to call the rest of Hilary’s loved ones and let them say their goodbyes.
Meanwhile, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will wrap up the show and fret about Hilary’s fate. Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) will offer to take her the hospital, but Mariah will snap that she’s got it covered. When Mariah tries to stomp off, Tessa will stop her. She’ll declare that she’s really worried, but Mariah will launch into a tirade about her deception.
Naturally, Tessa will wonder what’s going on. She has no clue that Mariah spotted her suspicious hug on the roof deck. Once Tessa knows she’s been caught, she’ll come clean about the mystery lady. Tessa will assure Mariah that it wasn’t what it looked like. She probably has a reasonable excuse for embracing another woman, but her lies will still present a problem.
Mariah might suggest that they should table this discussion. It’s important to get to Hilary and offer some support. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Mariah will become emotional at Hilary’s bedside. These longtime frenemies will inevitably drop the enemies part. In this touching moment, Y&R viewers will only see two friends.
Elsewhere, Jack will get the dreadful news and rush right over. He’ll stay upbeat during his conversation with Hilary, but he’ll definitely be torn up inside. It’ll break Jack’s heart to think of Hilary dying in that hospital bed. They’ve often served as sounding boards for each other, but it seems Jack will have to find a new one soon.
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will also pay her fellow schemer a visit at some point this week. That’ll certainly bring a weepy chat.
