The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) need to confide in someone will lead her to Billy (Jason Thompson). Whenever these two characters are commiserating, there’s always a chance that Villy happens again.
Vickie’s life is in disarray right now and she can’t blame Billy for her problems this time. Instead, Miss Newman’s actions last April continue to cause major fallout. It’s possible that she, her mother, and two former sister’s-in-law will all be going to prison for their involvement in the accidental death of J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) and resultant coverup.
There hasn’t been a man in Victoria’s life in awhile. Billy had been seriously involved with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), who even agreed to marry him. But her acceptance of his offer at the almost Shick re-nuptials lasted mere minutes. Then Sharon (Sharon Case) outed Phick’s stunning revert and the Philly wedding plans were off.
With Philly dead, Billy recently attempted to see if Sharon was interested. She just wanted to be friends. Lacking that extra benefit, Billy remains on the prowl and is always interested in anything Victoria.
Thankfully, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) told her mother what she learned about Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). In so doing, Vickie came to see video from one of the memory sticks Miss Porter relinquished to Mariah. Those sickening images actually don’t solve the coverup crew’s problems, but serve to reveal the latest threat.
Sharing the true nature of her plight with Billy would be extremely risky. So Vickie isn’t likely to tell all. However, Billy knows his multiple time ex-wife like few others. So, his soapy senses will be raised through whatever pained areas of life Vickie shares with him.
It doesn’t feel time for another Villy reunion, but that certainly didn’t stop Phick from apparently reforming. Seasoned fans know to look at surrounding, potential plot paths in order to determine if it’s possible for Vickie and Billy to get back together in the near future.
Both characters are not only dually single, but also have no current romantic interests. A wink at Vickie being with Cane (Daniel Goddard) will soon be offered. If realized, that could block Villy, or possibly grease its path.
As far as Billy, he’s finished with Phyllis, who has opted to emotionally reinvest in Nick (Joshua Morrow). Kerry (Alice Hunter) would seem to be a new option for the younger Abbott brother. But his older sibling, Jack (Peter Bergman), is already into that pursuit and Kerry seems to be reciprocating his interest. All of which means that Billy is available.
Y&R could use the approaching J.T. arc wrap to rebuild Villy. But if that happens a new wrinkle will need to be added in order to provide a fresh baseline love story for Vickie and Billy. So, the question of whether this one-time couple is back on must also respond to the query as to why it would be.
