The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, October 17, tease that Jack’s plan will be a big flop. In Tuesday’s episode, Jack holds a secret board meeting and announces that Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) been removed as CEO. However, Jack may not get the outcome he wants in the next episode. He’s undoubtedly hoping to take the throne himself, but some surprising hurdles could get in his way.
Ashley put a lot of thought into her vengeful plot. She didn’t plan on revealing the whole story to Jack yet, but the Andrew (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) situation brought it out in the open. Nevertheless, Ashley was going to drop the truth bomb eventually. She had to know how much trouble it’d stir up when she did.
Does Ashley have some angle she can work? Is there some legal loophole that will allow her to keep power for now? It makes sense that she would’ve come up with a backup strategy, but there are other possibilities to consider. Y&R spoilers say Billy (Jason Thompson) will also have vengeance on his mind. He’ll make a move that’s both bitter and bold, so is there some way he can reclaim the CEO spot?
It’d be a terrible idea to put Billy back in power after a one-week rehab stint, but you never know. Then again, Traci (Beth Maitland) could always resume her role as interim CEO. It all depends on what Ashley does to strike back at Jack! As for Billy, his revenge could also apply to Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). He’ll set out to hurt her and he’ll succeed soon enough.
Later this week, Billy and Summer’s (Hunter King) hookup news will spread. Phyllis will face the devastating bombshell, so Young and the Restless fans will look forward to that drama. In the meantime, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will finally return home. After wrapping up her weeklong remote, she’ll be eager to get back to Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and Sharon (Sharon Case).
Once Mariah sees how chummy Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon have gotten, she’ll have to raise an eyebrow. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Mariah will confront her mom. She’ll be suspicious of their growing bond, but Sharon will insist that it’s no big deal. Since Sharon’s been dealing with so much Nick (Joshua Morrow) heartache, she’s just glad to have a friend.
Rey certainly seems to care on some level, but he’s also got an agenda. Mariah will sense that, so she’ll urge her mother to be careful. Sharon obviously needs to watch out for her heart as well her secrets! We’ll give you updates as other Y&R details emerge.
