Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) will have some exciting news to pass along. On July 15, they’ll meet with Abe Carver (James Reynolds) to make a big announcement. Eli recently asked Lani to marry him, and she happily accepted. Now that they’re officially engaged, they’ll want to share their joy with Abe.
DOOL fans can expect some sweet moments as Abe congratulates Lani. He’ll undoubtedly be glad to welcome Eli to the family. Of course, Abe may have the usual “just don’t hurt my daughter” speech for Eli as well. He’s a great dad who always wants to protect Lani’s heart, so he’ll probably make sure Eli knows where they stand.
Later, Lani and Eli can concentrate on wedding plans. Days of Our Lives spoilers say they’ll need to pick a date and venue soon. There’ll be plenty of other decisions to be make as they prepare to tie the knot. Unless some Days catastrophe strikes, Lani and Eli should become husband and wife down the road.
Will an “Elani” baby come next? This could be a gripping storyline for Lani and Eli. As much as Lani enjoyed bonding with David Ridgeway, there could be some fears about trying to get pregnant again. That David was already here and healthy. The possibility of conceiving and losing another child could be tough for Lani to face.
At the same time, being a mother is something Lani clearly wants. Her son’s death left a void that needs to be filled. Lani and Eli obviously can’t replace the boy they lost, but they shouldn’t let that stop them from starting a family. With Eli’s help, Lani could work through her concerns.
Days of Our Lives could do something out of the ordinary by letting a couple actually choose to have a child! Pregnancies are usually unplanned on soaps, so it’d be a nice change of pace. Perhaps Eli and Lani could have a little girl this time around. They may truly make peace with David’s death and focus on giving a new baby all the love they have to give.
