Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) plan will hit a surprising snag. When Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) tries to perform the embryo transfer, he’ll make a startling discovery. Dr. Rolf will find out Kristen is pregnant with Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) baby, so he’ll pass along the shocker soon enough.
It turns out Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will face a change of plans as well. She’ll decide to keep her baby, so Days is shifting gears here and setting up a different storyline. Even so, there’s a good chance Kristen will still swipe Sarah’s kid down the road. Why? Let’s consider a couple of great reasons.
For starters, when have two soap babies ever been born around the same time without some funny business? It’s practically soap law for these kids to get switched. There’s no reason to do two pregnancy stories simultaneously unless some baby-swapping will go down. Days has to bring some drama, so a switcheroo is probably how they’ll do it.
Plus, the conditions are exactly ideal for Kristen’s pregnancy. She’s an older woman with a history of fertility problems, so the deck’s stacked against her. There are plenty of ways for this pregnancy to go wrong, so Kristen’s baby may have serious problems. He or she could be stillborn or near death upon arrival.
That might prompt Kristen to swap her kid for Sarah and Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) perfectly healthy one. There’s no guarantee it’ll play out like that, but it seems like the logical choice. We should also consider the looming time jump, which Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest will transpire around November. How will this potential baby switch be affected by the massive twist?
Since we’ll be jumping forward a year, we’ll see the aftermath of any swap that might’ve occurred. We won’t see the swap itself happen – at least not until DOOL offers a flashback or two. That could bring a bit of a mystery in the new present.
Will we see Sarah grieving for a lost child? Will we see Kristen and Brady happily enjoying their little one together? If so, we’d bet big money a switch will be revealed later.
