Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Hope Hernandez (Kristian Alfonso) will push through their recent rough patch. It’s clear that Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini) was only meant as a temporary roadblock for “Rope.” The same goes for Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), who always tends to stir up trouble here and there.
However, Hope and Rafe will soon decide to put their issues to rest. On March 21, Days of Our Lives spoilers say “Rope” will recommit to each other. They’ll determine that they’re all in on their future together, so this sounds like a new beginning. Rafe and Hope can start a new chapter of their love story, but is that the right call?
Some DOOL fans may be rooting for Hope and Rafe’s happily ever after. Other Days viewers think they’re in desperate need of a split. Unless a pairing has sizzling chemistry and a great history to build on, it’s tough to make something work long-term. Unfortunately, “Rope” is just so-so in the chem department and their history is nothing compared to what Hope had with Bo Brady (Peter Reckell).
In Rafe’s defense, Bo was a tough act to follow. “Bope” is one of the most famous Days of Our Lives pairings of all time. Bo and Hope are right up there with John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) or Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans).
That’s why it’s been difficult to stay on board for “Rope” for this long. They just aren’t at the same level. Rafe and Hope certainly aren’t the worst couple ever, but it’s hard to compete with the chemistry that came before. Since DOOL insists on sticking with these two, is it because they can’t find another pairing for Hope? Should the show really be trying to woo Peter Reckell back as Bo?
Bo died of a brain tumor in Hope’s arms, but who knows what happened afterward? With Dr. Rolf’s (William Utay) serum, any character can make a comeback. Of course, Reckell hasn’t seemed too interested in returning for lengthy stints, but maybe he could pop in from time to time line Sami. It wouldn’t take much to renew the “Bope” love story and keep it going occasionally.
With several exits in the works, Days of Our Lives spoilers say they’ll need returns to bring hot drama. Do you think they should try to get Bo back – at least for a little while?
