Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that a fun villain just wrapped up his latest stint on the NBC soap. Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) is a fan favorite, so DOOL viewers are always glad when he pops up. He does horrible things, but he manages to do them in style! Xander never quite loses that charm of his, so it’s tough to say goodbye when his visits inevitably come to an end.
Sadly, Days of Our Lives watchers indeed have to bid Xander farewell for a while. He stole Dr. Rolf’s (William Utay) diary from Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) and skedaddled out of town until he can think of something he wants. Eve can’t get Xander the CEO position at Titan, so he’ll have to come up with some other use for his former partner in crime.
Of course, we’re sure Xander will think of something. This is the perfect open-ended exit, so Xander will make his way back on canvas sooner or later. In fact, we know Xander will be sharing scenes with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) down the road. It’s possible those will be fake flashbacks to explain how Nicole survived the warehouse fire, but it’s good to remember Xander will indeed appear in some capacity.
It appears Telfer has also been back on set for an additional stint or two, so this trend of short runs here and there should continue. Telfer doesn’t like to be locked in with a Days contract, but he’s more than willing to pop in and shake up the story occasionally. Maybe Xander is best in small doses anyway. If he stuck around indefinitely, there’s no predicting how people he’d shoot or torment.
Regardless, it’s nice knowing that this isn’t truly goodbye. It’s just farewell for now! Telfer sent out a tweet to confirm his latest exit and let Days of Our Lives fans know what Xander would be up to off screen. He said, “Alrighty gang, Xander is off back to his Greek island for a bit of R&R. Hope you enjoyed his visit to Salem – I certainly did…Cheers!”
Days of Our Lives spoilers say the aftermath of Xander’s visit will remain a mess. Thanks to that hookup between Xander and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), she felt guilty and desperate enough to reunite with Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder). Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will have to decide if he’s going to make his move or just wait for Rex and Sarah to implode like we all know they will.
