Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will make a shocking confession. As DOOL viewers know, Chad and Abigail DiMera (Kate Mansi) have been living in Paris for the past several months, with their adventures being chronicled on the DOOL App series “Chad & Abigail In Paris.” There, they’ve had visits from Austin Reed (Austin Peck) and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis), and they’re currently dealing with false allegations of sexual harassment and physical assault against Chad from his employee Juliette (Rachele Schank).
But Chad’s big confession will come once Chad and Abigail have traveled back to Salem after the big DOOL time jump that will occur on Friday, November 8th. The characters will cross over back to the NBC version of the show and will join the rest of their family in Salem. Now, whether they return during the year that viewers don’t see or whether they’ll return after the time jump occurs remains to be seen, but it’s likely that they’ll come back during the year that viewers don’t see.
After all, right before the time jump, Abigail’s mother Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) will be the victim of a terrible fate – she’ll end up being pushed over the bistro balcony by Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) right after her wedding to Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford). That will leave her in a coma during the year that passes over the time jump. It makes sense that Abigail and Chad would return to Salem to support Jack and JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) while Jen is in her coma.
But what about this big confession by Chad? Well, DOOL viewers may have noticed that the topic of Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) has come up quite a bit on the show as of late, and his name has come up on the DOOL App series “Chad & Abigail In Paris” as well. DOOL spoilers say that after the time jump, Chad will confess to Abigail that he’s been in contact with Stefano.
This is a huge development, since Stefano is presumed to be dead. DOOL viewers will remember that Stefano’s last appearance on the show back in February of 2017 turned out not to be Stefano but was Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) in disguise. Shane and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) had arranged for Stefano to appear (courtesy of Shane in disguise) so that Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) would be exonerated for his murder.
Yet later, Steve and Shane found evidence leading them to believe that Stefano could really be alive. And last year, when Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) was trapped in the Nashville DiMera warehouse, she distinctly saw a patient room with the initials “SD” on them, which indicated at that point that Stefano could have been somehow brought back to life by Rolf after his murder at the hands of Hope.
So, for Chad to confess that he’s been in contact with Stefano is pretty meaningful and could very well indicate that Stefano is alive and well. Of course, another possibility is that someone is out there posing as Stefano and communicating with Chad as an impostor – which sounds just like something that Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay), for example, would do.
At any rate, it will be interesting to see just how Chad has been communicating with Stefano. It seems likely that the whole communication will remain shrouded in mystery, since it seems highly unlikely that Days of Our Lives would attempt a recast of Stefano at this point. But for longtime DOOL fans, the prospect of Stefano being alive and having some influence over Chad and the other DiMera family members is pretty exciting.
