Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Thursday, January 2, tease that several Salemites will be left in shock. Before we dive in, we should note that DOOL will be preempted on Wednesday, January 1. However, Days will pick right back up where they left off on Thursday’s brand-new episode.
Now let’s get to all the drama happening in Salem. For starters, Stefano DiMera aka Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Princess Gina Von Amberg aka Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) just put their new plan in motion. They considered coming forward as Princess Gina and Stefano, but the timing just wasn’t right. “Hope” brought “Steve” to the New Year’s Eve party instead – and he’s about to face some serious backlash!
Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) will deal with pain, rage and confusion this Thursday. However, Kayla will manage to keep her composure for the most part. Her major confrontation with “Steve” will come after the bash on Friday.
In the meantime, Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) will fume over “Steve” just showing up like this after the way he treated Kayla. He’ll definitely give “Steve” an earful, but Kayla will do her best to hide how upset she is. She won’t want Justin to know how much “Steve’s” return has affected her.
As for John Black (Drake Hogestyn), he should have some mixed feelings about seeing “Steve” again. John had a big grin on his face when “Steve” announced he was back, so he was obviously happy to see what he thinks is his buddy. Of course, John can also understand that “Steve” has caused plenty of pain since he was last seen in town. He’ll have to be sensitive about how he handles this tricky situation.
Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) is a pro at reading people, so she may be suspicious right off the bat – especially since “Hope” brought “Steve” to this gathering. When it comes to “Hope,” Marlena’s been seeing red flags all over the place. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Marlena will definitely be keeping an eye on “Steve” and “Hope,” so they’d better watch their backs.
Nearby, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) will make her presence known to Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). She won’t be pleased about that midnight kiss she just witnessed, but Brady will wonder why Kristen cares. He’ll point out that Kristen’s supposed to be married to God, but Kristen will ditch her nun’s habit and declare that they broke up!
Nicole will warn Brady not to trust Kristen and whatever she’s trying to pull. She won’t think Kristen deserves another shot, but Kristen won’t appreciate the interference. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Kristen will physically attack Nicole on Thursday. Nicole will fight back, so Brady will have to send them to their corners eventually.
Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) may have to do the same as Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) launches a verbal attack on Lani Price (Sal Stowers). A woman in a nun’s habit was spotted on the security footage from outside Gabi Chic, so Gabi and Eli just arrived at Kristen’s room. Lani opened the door and left them stunned to see her back in Salem. It won’t be long until Gabi’s lashing out and hurling accusations.
Eli will be angry as well, but he’ll probably try to keep Gabi’s fury in check for now. It sounds like some tense scenes are coming up, so don’t miss all the action.
