General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nikolas Cassadine’s comeback will bring even more shockers. Marcus Coloma just debuted in the role, so fans are curious after this first glimpse of Nik. Nikolas obviously wants revenge on Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), but that’s just the beginning. Now that Nik’s getting back in the action, GH can get him involved in a new love story, too.
It seems like General Hospital’s already been laying the groundwork. Ava Jerome (Maura West) has had a string of bad luck when it comes to men. Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) was too preachy and ultimately ended up paired with Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin). Sorry, but it’s always weird when a character goes from mother to daughter. Griffin just wasn’t a good match for Ava at all.
Of course, Griffin was the best boyfriend ever compared to serial killer Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom)! Ryan murdered Kiki and duped Ava for months. The monster’s still tormenting Ava from behind bars, so she could really use a fresh start. A fresh start is exactly what Nikolas is getting as well – complete with that new face of his.
Ava has been tied to Nik’s comeback story all along. GH fans will recall that Sibley Gamble (Veronica Cartwright) channeled Kiki during a psychic session. That plan didn’t work out how Ava expected, but she did get some interesting information at the end. When Ava asked Sibley to get in touch with Nikolas, Sibley couldn’t sense his presence on the other side. Now Ava knows why!
General Hospital spoilers say Ava will end up keeping Nikolas’ return under wraps. She’ll keep the secret for him, but she’ll undoubtedly remain involved here. Ava’s spoken of Nikolas quite fondly and could grow closer to him once again. The pieces are coming together for Nikolas and Ava to fall in love.
Coloma is 41 and perhaps looks even younger, but Cohen is 37 and was paired with West onscreen. Let’s face it: West is a powerhouse performer who can tackle whatever they throw at her, including a younger-looking love interest. However, some viewers aren’t sold on Ava and Coloma’s Nik yet – at least not based on looks alone. There are definitely people who would rather see Nikolas in another pairing.
Others are eager to see some Ava and Nikolas steaminess. “Ava deserves to be Mrs Nikolas Cassadine and the QUEEN of Wyndemere,” one fan said on Twitter. Another viewer tweeted, “Ava’s man is BACK!!! Nikolas and Ava about to take over Port Charles.” The “Nava” train seems to be rolling in, so some people are getting on board.
