General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Elizabeth Hendrickson (Margaux Dawson) could be headed back to her former soap home. She used to play Chloe Mitchell on The Young and the Restless before joining the cast of GH, but a Y&R return may be in the works. Hendrickson posted an Instagram clue that seems to point in that direction.
The CBS soap is revisiting a story that Chloe was a huge part of, so it makes sense for them to put her back on canvas – even if her stay might be brief. Regardless, Hendrickson posted a photo with a former Y&R costar at the Daytime Emmys. Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher on Y&R) gave Hendrickson a kiss on the cheek in the pic, so she added a caption that said, “There’s a lot of love in this picture. And a lot more to come!”
Hendrickson also put an eyeballs emoji, which suggested she was dropping a hint about the show. People tend to use those when they’re discussing something that could be considered a sneak peek. If Hendrickson’s Y&R comeback pans out, what does that mean for her time at GH? So far, it doesn’t look like Hendrickson intends to leave the role of Margaux behind.
In her latest Instagram story, Hendrickson provided another clue that suggests she’s still taping at GH. She showed off some sparkly nail polish in one clip. Her caption said, “Don’t want to say good bye but they’re not very Margaux Dawson.” That implies Hendrickson has to get rid of the polish so she can continue filming as no-nonsense Margaux.
It sounds like Hendrickson’s potential Young and the Restless return may be brief. She may be able to work out the scheduling details and film both shows with ease. Of course, that could change if Y&R finds more stories for Chloe to play and wants to lock her in with a contract.
Many GH viewers don’t seem to have warmed up to Margaux, but that’s not really Hendrickson’s fault. She’s playing a stern DA! Someone has to lay down the law in Port Charles. Perhaps Hendrickson will get a chance to peel back more layers of Margaux during the rest of this DoD storyline.
Whatever the case, it’s great that Hendrickson may be heading back over to Y&R for a visit. Soap fans should always root for actors to score work. We’ll give you updates as other news comes in.
